After World War III Worries Skyrocket – Top U.S. Ally Considers an ‘Unthinkable’ Move

War continues to rage in Ukraine. Israel maintains its campaign against Hamas. And many fear we are not far from a conflict between China and Taiwan.

All this, as North Korea continues testing missiles.

It appears U.S. allies can no longer rely on its support, as President Biden presides over growing conflicts. And now, European nations mull bringing back a hated practice.

From Breitbart:
The British Army is now the smallest it has been in 200 years… while in Germany the military recruitment crisis is so acute the defense minister speaks of bringing back conscription…

He said: “We are aware that sooner or later we would probably have to compensate for one thing or another that might no longer come from Washington. Theoretically, there could also be areas that we could not easily compensate for immediately.”

European allies fear the United States shifting military support to the Asia-Pacific, as fears of conflict with North Korea or China grow. But enlistment in nations like the UK and Germany are at all-time lows.

This has sparked fears that some countries will bring back conscription, what is called “the draft” in America. Germany still has conscription in its laws, although it hasn’t been used in over a decade. The United Kingdom’s military is at its lowest level in 200 years.

According to reports, 20,000 Ukrainian men fled the country to avoid conscription, with 20,000 caught at the border. Ukraine has been forcing men into the military for its seemingly unending war with Russia.

Fears that Russia will expand its military campaign beyond Ukraine are very real in Europe. But it appears U.S. allies can no longer count on America to help defend them. Some probably worry that a president like Joe Biden is unreliable.

One expert claimed that Europe is “entering an era of wars.” And if these countries don’t get volunteers to fight, they just might start drafting them.

Key Takeaways:

  • Fears are growing that European nations will begin drafting soldiers.
  • UK and Germany are facing major declines in military recruitment.
  • European allies believe the U.S. will focus its help in Asia, to combat China or North Korea.
