What’s Happening:

Despite numerous lawsuits by Democratic prosecutors, Trump continues to run his 2024 presidential campaign. In recent weeks he has traveled all over the country. Most recently, he appeared in Detroit to show support to auto workers striking Biden administration policies hurting their pay.

Soon after, he flew to a Democrat-run state to attend the Republican Party’s fall convention. The state’s GOP is apparently welcoming Trump with open arms, fully supporting his presidential bid.

While he was there, he went to an ice cream shop in a large, blue city. This city is infamous for its radical, liberal policies. As Trump entered the store, he was greeted by a three-word chant. And even Trump was stunned by this reaction.

A large crowd formed outside the Carvel ice cream shop when Trump stopped for a visit. But instead of jeering the former president, these Los Angeles natives cheered him. Chants of “Build the wall” and “We need Trump” were heard across the crowd.

Trump stopped to sign hats and greet supporters. The large marquee inside the shop said “California is Trump Country.”

This could come as a surprise to many outside the blue state. California is often regarded as a deeply liberal state. The governor is a Democrat, as is a majority of its lawmakers. But recent years have brought significant decline to California, including Los Angeles.

It is possible that many residents are turning on the left and embracing Trump’s campaign. Trump remarked on the warm reception by writing, “great seeing everybody, thank you” on his TRUTH Social page.

Joe Biden is known for frequenting ice cream parlors. He seems to indulge in the dessert on a regular basis. But we fail to recall the last time he was greeted with such a rousing response, if ever.
