Trump Says Shooting Strengthened His Faith: “Now, I’m More of a Believer”

It’s been one month since Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt on his life at a Pennsylvania rally. This marked the first assassination attempt on a current or former president in over forty years.

Now, Trump is speaking out to reveal the one major impact nearly being killed has had on his life. While being interviewed by Elon Musk on Monday night, Trump admitted that surviving this assassination attempt has only made him believe in God even more.

Sometimes, it takes going through something extreme to restore someone’s faith in God. It appears that this is the case with Trump in the wake of his assassination attempt.

From Daily Wire:
Trump said the moment that he was hit that he knew that he was struck by a bullet in the ear and that was one of the reasons that he dropped to the ground so quickly.

He said that the fact that he turned his head at the exact moment where the would be assassin took the shot should make those who don’t believe in God reconsider their beliefs.

“I’m a believer,” Trump said. “Now, I’m more of a believer.”

Several minutes later, Trump said that the fact that he turned his head to read a chart that was displayed at his rally was “an act of God” and “a miracle.”

God Saved Trump That Day

Anyone who has seen the clip of Trump being shot knows that God truly was with him that day. Trump happened to turn his head at the last second, something that he rarely does at his rallies. Had he not done that, the bullet likely would have struck him in the head. It’s hard to believe that he would have been able to survive such a wound.

Instead, God stepped in and ensured that Trump walked away with only a small wound to his ear. If that’s not enough to turn someone into a believer, we don’t know what is!

Trump has long been open about his strong Christian faith. However, he is also an extremely busy man who doesn’t always have as much to devote to God as he might like. It appears that in the wake of this assassination attempt, that could be about to change.

Trump’s latest comments are also sure to appeal to the Christian evangelical community. This is exactly the kind of thing that they want to hear. Trump’s newly restored faith in God after the assassination attempt on him will only endear him to that voting group even further.

In the end, we could all learn a lot from how Trump has reacted to surviving this assassination attempt. Not only has he shown just how tough he is, he’s also giving all the glory to God.

God bless you, President Trump. And thank you, God, for saving this incredible man’s life!
