California didn’t see Donald coming, and now they’re melting down.

For years, California has spent billions on high-speed rail.

Despite over $32 billion spent, it’s far from finished. The new governor, Gavin Newsom, canceled the project.

So, Trump demanded federal funds back. Roughly $3 billion.

I’m sure you can guess California’s response. Sad!

The head of California’s controversial high-speed rail project hit back this week at President Trump’s bid to halt federal funding to the railway and force the state to pay back money already doled out.

Calling the administration’s move not only illegal but “disastrous” and “wasteful…”

“Disastrous” and “wasteful?”

Uh-huh. But spending $32 billion on an unfinished project isn’t wasteful?

The poor California residents had to sit through years of watching their taxes get spent on something they will never use.

And they accuse Trump’s request of being disastrous?

President Trump promised using every legal avenue in getting that money back. That is your money, spent on a project that has collapsed.

In any other sector, a business would be required to pay back investors if they don’t make good on their agreements. If not, there are lawsuits.

Why should it be any different with tax dollars?

President Trump must love getting these Democrats worked up. Meanwhile, taking away their dreams of a socialist paradise bankrolled by your dollars.
