Trump Finally Responds to McConnell Freeze – Donald Gives the Old Turtle a Direct Order

What’s Happening:

It’s not a stretch to say that Americans were distraught at the video of Mitch McConnell freezing before reporters. His office has refused to admit what happened, but millions of Americans are speculating. The 81-year-old senator suffered a concussion earlier in the year. Some have even claimed he experienced a stroke or seizure.

His office stated that he intends to serve as GOP leader through 2024. That’s not the answer Americans wanted. And Donald Trump, a long-time critic of McConnell is breaking his silence. He said what he thought of the old Senate leader. And is making this demand.

From Breitbart:

Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he believes Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell’s obvious health issues mean the longtime Kentucky senator should not continue to lead Senate Republicans and that the party needs a fresh face atop the conference…

“I thought it was sad,” Trump said… “He had a bad fall, I guess, and probably an after-effect of that… We have some people in the Senate that are fantastic and would be great at that position. But it’s just amazing he [McConnell] would do that — but at the same time, I hope he’s well.”

Trump was critical of Mitch McConnell after his freeze. He said it was “sad.” But what he also thought was sad was Mitch’s support for Biden’s “Green New Deal.” McConnell, often considered a RINO by many, has gone out of his way to help Biden fund his socialist agenda.

The former president blasted McConnell for his failures in leadership. And Trump was calling for a new Republican leader in the Senate. He said there are “fantastic” people in the Senate who would do a better job at leading the party.

McConnell’s “big freeze” only further heightened the need for term limits in Congress. Many Americans are walking up to the fact that people in their late 70s, 80s, and even early 90s are making decisions that affect 300 million.

Many lawmakers in D.C. are far too old to serve. But they stay entrenched, because of a lack of age or term limits. McConnell’s freeze was underscored by Sen. Feinstein’s recent health scares, Sen. Fetterman’s obvious deficiencies, and Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.

Perhaps if Trump returns to office, he will be able to spearhead a movement to set term limits on Congress. Presidents have had term limits for decades. Why not the people literally writing our laws?

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump called for new leadership to replace Mitch McConnell.
  • This comes days after McConnell’s shocking “freeze” moment.
  • The Republican Senate leader has refused to reveal the cause of the episode.
