No one should be forced into giving a portion of their hard-earned paycheck to organizations that they morally disagree with.

Yet that is precisely what millions of Americans are forced to do each year when tax collectors funnel their money to abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

This human rights abusing organization receives millions each year in the name of women’s health, but in reality, every penny they receive is blood money.

Planned Parenthood does not offer mammograms or prenatal care. They only provide STD screenings, pregnancy tests, and a slew of other services you can receive at any of the thousands of women’s health clinics in the U.S.

The one service they provide that most health facilities do not is abortion, and that is where the majority of their money goes.

Pretending to be a health care provider is the only way Planned Parenthood is able to receive taxpayer funding, though, so they continue to keep up the pretense.

But that pretense has been crumbling thanks to pro-life groups going undercover to expose the shameful practices of Planned Parenthood, and at long last, the millions collected for women’s health can be taken away from an organization that murders thousands of unborn girls each year.

Last week, the Trump administration announced its intention to cut taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities. Yesterday, the proposal became official. The administration released a document outlining the proposed rule, which will go into effect after a 60-day waiting period, as is standard.

The new proposal will strip Planned Parenthood of approximately $60 million in annual Title X taxpayer dollars. Title X was enacted by Congress in 1970 to provide federal tax dollars for family planning, but banned funding for abortion.

“None of the funds appropriated under this title shall be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning,” the law stated.

But Planned Parenthood has been receiving Title X money for decades, in violation of this law. A Trump official explained in more detail that Planned Parenthood is essentially precluding itself from receiving these funds by continuing to advocate for abortion.

“This proposal does not necessarily defund Planned Parenthood, as long as they’re willing to disentangle taxpayer funds from abortion as a method of family planning, which is required by the Title X law. Any grantees that perform, support, or refer for abortion have a choice – disentangle themselves from abortion or fund their activities with privately raised funds.”

Title X has essentially been subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s abominable practices of selling fetal body parts for profit.  The Center for Medical Progress uncovered this gruesome truth in 2015, and yet this move to defund Planned Parenthood is the first significant action taken against them.

If anything, cutting $60 million doesn’t go far enough. Planned Parenthood is not a healthcare facility, and hopefully, the cuts continue until Planned Parenthood is as bankrupt as its morals.
