Gov. Abbott of Texas rocked the country when he announced they are building a border wall.
And it looks like he’s moving, full steam ahead.
Abbott accused Joe Biden of not only neglecting the border, but causing the very crisis we are witnessing.
The governor even the Biden administration has not contacted the state—despite the rising chaos.
So, the state plans on continuing Trump’s border wall program. And they just announced a down payment on the project.
From Fox News:
Abbott also announced a $250 million down payment to begin the project, allowing the state to hire a project manager and get the task underway. He said that it would be built on a combination of state land and donations of private land, and be partly funded by donations.
Gov. Abbott revealed the state has contributed a “down payment” of $250 million to continue the border wall project.
Other reports indicate the project is already underway. Abbott said the work has already “officially begun.”
The governor has also encouraged citizens from around the country to contribute, with the ability to donate to help the project succeed.
A finished border wall across the state of Texas would strike a huge blow to migrant traffic. And, it seems, Biden’s intentions of creating an open border.
Texas shares the longest border with Mexico. Much of the traffic into our country goes through Texas.
Border communities face the brunt of the crisis. Migrants are flooding over private land and homes. Many residents fear for their lives.
Meanwhile, Biden is asleep at the wheel. His VP, Harris, continues to do nothing to address the problem.
Recently, Donald Trump announced he will visit the border to get a look at the crisis himself.
He will no doubt applaud Texas’s attempts at securing the border, even without federal help.
A lingering question, of course, is what Democrats will do in response to this new border wall project.
It’s obvious Biden and company don’t want the border secure. But will they go as far as to challenge Texas’s ability to build a wall?
We shouldn’t be surprised to find lawsuits coming soon.
- Texas’s border wall project has already stated.
- The state has produced $250 million as a “down payment.”
