Supreme Court Sends Order Directly To Biden – They Might Take Up Weighty Harvard Case

What’s Happening:

Our current Supreme Court has been taking up major cases. And this latest case could have a huge impact on millions of Americans.

The case was being fought in lower courts. A group of students has been fighting for fairness in college admissions.

They accused Harvard of unfair practices that discriminated against Asian Americans.

Now, the Supreme Court has shocked the left by agreeing to hear this case. And they are ordering Biden to give his defense.

From Washington Examiner:

The Supreme Court on Monday invited the Biden administration to offer its opinion in a case deciding whether Harvard University’s admissions process unfairly discriminates against Asian Americans…

“Harvard concedes that eliminating consideration of race would increase Asian-American admissions while decreasing those of Harvard’s favored racial groups,” lawyers for the [Trump] administration wrote.

Students for Fair Admissions has accused Harvard of setting higher standards for Asian American applicants.

They claim Harvard adds requirements for Asian students such as “likability,” “courage,” and “kindness.” Most other applicants are only judged by their academic performance.

The previous administration’s DOJ sided with students, accusing Harvard of trying to prevent “too many” Asian students from attending.

It seems that Harvard had other “favored racial groups” and they didn’t want Asian applicants who were more qualified taking their spot.

Wow. A major American university judging a student based on their race? Sounds a lot like discrimination to me.

This fight has been going on since 2014—and it only seems to be heating up.

The Supreme Court shook the country by saying they might hear this case. Their decision would not only affect Harvard, but every single college in America.

The court is inviting the Biden administration to give its opinion. It’s unclear at this moment if Biden’s DOJ will share the Trump administration’s findings of Harvard.

Knowing Biden—and his radical administration—they might try to protect the liberal university. But the facts are the facts and even his DOJ might not be able to dismiss these students’ cases.

Whatever happens, it will impact millions of students apply for college.

Do you think colleges should weight their admissions based on their skin color?

Key Takeaways:

  • The Supreme Court agreed to hear a case against Harvard’s admissions policies.
  • A group of students accuses Harvard of discriminating against Asian Americans.
  • The court is asking Biden’s administration to provide an opinion, as Trump’s did previously.
