What are the chances that a failing President like Biden could win a second term?

The man would be 86 years old at the end of his tenure. He has inflicted the devastating loss in Afghanistan, an economic recession, a crisis at the border, crime through the roof, and so much more.

And yet, in the crazy world we live in, he is running for President again and his party is rallying around him and boxing out any serious primary competitors like RFK Jr.

But with Kamala hanging around his neck like an albatross, rumors have been flying that Joe might take the unprecedented step of turning to his former boss for help.

You heard that right: some are suggesting Obama himself should be Biden’s VP. Here’s one expert’s take on the possible pick. From Western Journal:

“Obama is the only person who could practically guarantee Biden’s reelection, whose qualifications cannot be disputed, and who could replace Harris without alienating a major constituency,” Lacovara said.

Barry would clearly give Joe a boost with his own party… but is it legal and constitutional?

Using a narrow and semantically gimmicky interpretation of the 12th and 22nd Amendments to the Constitution, Lacovara argued Democrats could petition the Supreme Court to allow an Obama vice presidential candidacy.

“At first blush, the 22nd Amendment might be thought to preclude Obama from being on the 2024 ticket. That amendment provides: ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice …’ (emphasis added). While Obama is precluded from ever running again for election as president, the amendment does not prohibit him from running for any other office, including vice-president.

Man, Democrats are really getting desperate, aren’t they?

Their bench is so shallow, they only have people like California’s Governor Newsom or the aging socialist Senator Bernie Sanders to turn to. Not good options, folks.

So just turn to the guy who is Constitutionally barred from running again, right?

First, they’re probably overestimating the power of Obama. The man seems to be happy out of the White House, and even though he’s gotten out to rally the troops, he hasn’t been able to carry big elections to victory, like the governor’s race in Virginia in 2021.

Second, it will absolutely challenged in the courts and probably move all the way up to the Supreme Court—which has a 6-3 conservative majority.

While the decision should not come down to which party is benefitted, conservatives are far more likely to read the plain text and its intent to understand that Obama should not be in a position to serve again as President.

But no matter how this ends, Americans are seeing through the liberal charade: all their promises of unity and prosperity have crumbled and Americans want someone competent and level-headed to run the country. As long as Republicams are smart enough to pick a candidate people can vote for, not against, Democrat attempts to break the rules won’t matter.
