What’s Happening:

Since 2018, large Democrat donors have been helping put far-left district attorneys into power. All across the country, these leftist prosecutors have been infiltrating our cities and communities. And the results have been disastrous.

These “criminal justice reform” warriors have helped defund police, erase laws, end cash bail, and failed to prosecute a variety of crimes. The cities in which they serve have seen dramatic increases in crime. Yet, neither governors nor city leaders are doing anything about it. In one blue city, though, residents are taking matters into their own hands. And one radical DA could be facing the music.

Activists officially filed a recall against Alameda County, California, District Attorney Pamela Price, who was backed by left-wing billionaire George Soros in a failed 2018 bid, and has allowed crime to soar in Oakland since winning her election in 2022…

Meanwhile, crime has become so bad in Oakland — the largest city in DA Price’s jurisdiction — that police have encouraged the public to use airhorns to warn thieves away, and normally left-wing-minded residents are blasting a failed progressive utopia.” Even the local NAACP chapter has demanded more police and more aggressive action against crime on the streets of Oakland.

You know it’s bad when activists within the NAACP are calling for “more aggressive” police action. The George Soros-backed district attorney for Alameda County is facing a recall election. She lost her first bid for the job in 2018. But she won last year.

And since then, things have gotten very bad.

Oakland, the seat of the county, has seen crime rise ever since the “Defund the Police” movement. Its largely leftist local government slashed the police’s budget. But then they said that wasn’t enough.

The city got rid of the school police department. And DA Price appears to be refusing to prosecute criminals.

It’s so bad in Oakland, that the police are powerless to enforce the law. They have actually told residents to use airhorns to scare away hardened criminals. Because, not only are there not enough cops to respond to crimes, but chances are those who are arrested won’t be prosecuted.

If the recall campaign is successful, Price will be voted out and replaced. That could be a first step in restoring law and order to the city and county.

But what about all the other elected officials, who are allowing crime to rise?
