Southern State Unleashes 2nd Amendment for Schools – Now They Can Enact New Gun Policies in Mississippi

What’s Happening:

In light of recent tragic events, Democrats have pushed for strong gun control as the “solution.”

They were quick to reject alternative measures, because (according to critics) they prefer to take guns away from law-abiding citizens.

But red states are sitting back and letting Democrats fail to keep schools safe. And one just made a major change.

From Fox News:

Mississippi education officials have voted to update a more than 30-year-old policy regarding weapons on school campuses that could clear the way for staff and employees to carry guns on campus…

Mississippi Board of Education voted last week to update a 1990 internal policy that prohibited anyone other than law enforcement from carrying guns on public school campuses.

The Mississippi Board of Education voted to update an old policy that prohibited anyone but police from carrying guns on public school grounds.

This suggests they are preparing to decide if teachers or other school faculty can carry a firearm, to keep their classrooms safe.

Numerous Second Amendment supporters have suggested this very solution to the increasing danger public schools face.

Those who wish Americans harm know that “gun free” zones are vulnerable. They wreak havoc, knowing that there is nobody on school grounds that can shoot back.

While Democrats might “lament” the fact teachers should carry guns—it can be the single best solution we have.

Perhaps the best solution is to catch would-be shooters before they do harm. But that often requires federal law enforcement to act on tips and warnings.

(Something sadly, they often fail to do.)

Until we have a “perfect” solution, arming teachers is the best way to tell wannabe killers, “Don’t even think about it.”

Critics of the left say Democrats refuse to support this policy because it would actually work. And if it works, they have no need to push gun control.

Would Democrats really deny a valuable solution, because it gets in the way of their agenda?

I think you know the answer to that.

Key Takeaways:

  • Mississippi School Board voted to update a policy that only allowed cops to carry firearms on school grounds.
  • The change is paving the way for a new policy that allows teachers and staff to be armed.
  • This comes as more shooters target schools, knowing they are “gun free” zones.
