Hours After “Satanic Christmas Tree” Goes Up – 1 Leader’s Big Move Has Americans Cheering

With Thanksgiving wrapped up, millions of Americans have started celebrating Christmas. Across the country, families and communities are putting up lights, wreaths, and trees to commemorate the birth of Christ.

But in one Wisconsin community, a museum has decided on a centerpiece that is decidedly un-Christmas.

From NBC 26:
Sixty-six trees of every shape and size are currently on display, and they’re representing various groups across Northeast Wisconsin.

Museum CEO Jacqueline Frank says the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin tree and Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity tree have recently gotten some pushback from people visiting the museum.

The National Railroad Museum has allowed a tree from the “Satanic Temple of Wisconsin.” The tree features numerous ornaments with Satanic symbols and even has a stuffed serpent coiled around its base.

You don’t have to be a Christian to recognize the conflict this tree poses. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. A Satanic Temple represents the very opposite of what Jesus came to bring.

And now, a Republican leader is not accepting this insult to the religious holiday.

From Daily Wire:
In an interview that aired on Sunday, Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) criticized the National Railroad Museum’s embrace of the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin‘s tree…

“When parents and concerned citizens have contacted the railroad museum, they have said, well, this is an educational opportunity for kids, which is completely ridiculous, right? I think it’s impossible to overstate how offensive this is to Christians. It would be, in quite a little sense, the same thing as waving a Hamas flag inside of a synagogue,” he added on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Republican congressman Mike Gallagher blasted the museum for allowing a tree that celebrates Satan, on the day millions celebrate the birth of Christ. The museum, according to Gallagher, claims it is an “educational opportunity” for families.

It is unlikely Christian families have any interest in “educating” their children about the Satanic Temple. Gallagher compared the display to someone “waving a Hamas flag inside of a synagogue.” As strong as such a comment is, he is likely to be supported by millions of Americans.

Christmas has always been a religious holiday. Despite secular, commercializing by companies, most Americans continue to see it as a religious event. For the museum to allow a competing religion–one that supposedly worships Satan–to display a tree will hardly be accepted by the community.

Key Takeaways:

  • The National Railroad Museum has allowed a Satanic display for Christmas.
  • Republican Mike Gallagher blasted the decision calling it “completely ridiculous.”
  • The museum claims the display does not “promote hate” despite celebrating the father of lies.
