When the border started seeing millions of illegal crossers, major blue cities seemed not to care. Southern, red states were overwhelmed, claiming the Biden administration refused to help.

So, governors like Greg Abbott started sending migrants to these blue “sanctuary” cities. These cities were forced to accept tens of thousands of migrants, due to their policies.

But, as most predicted, these Democrat-run cities failed to provide adequate help for these illegal aliens. Some of them, in one particular city, have been forced to sleep in airports. And now, some of them are doing the unthinkable.

Now, Illinois’ harsh winters, lack of migrant infrastructure, and ambivalent support from locals has made many people, who undertook the harsh US-Mexico border journey, actually turn around and go back home.

Do Democrats know the meaning of “irony”? Many people trekked to the United States from foreign countries because they were promised a better life. Immigration activists in South America claimed Democrats in the U.S. would make sure they got housing, provisions, and high-paying jobs.

Instead, Democrats seem to have failed to provide what these migrants were promised. Most of them have been forced into overcrowded detention centers run by the Biden administration. Those sent to blue cities have been living in shelters, crowded hotels, or worse.

Some Democrat leaders have tried to pull strings to get these migrants employed. But it appears they are not satisfied with the low-paying, menial work that is being offered. Many critics have accused Democrats of trying to import a new working class to do the jobs Americans “refuse to do.”

But it appears not even migrants, dependent on handouts, won’t even do these jobs for the wages liberals are offering them.

The harsh winter and unfavorable conditions of Chicago are driving some of these migrants to return to their home nations. Some are reportedly fleeing back to Venezuela, where they will undoubtedly not experience winds as freezing as those from Lake Michigan.

One migrant claimed he and his family were sleeping on the floor of a police station. It appears Democrats’ promises have failed to materialize. This comes as an increasing number of liberal residents have rebelled against Democrat mayors.

Residents of these cities refuse to support plans to build more shelters. And workers are complaining that these migrants could take away more jobs.
