If it weren’t for double standards, the Left would have no standards at all.
Roseanne’s recent cancellation proved this in astounding fashion.
After the TV star tweeted that a liberal looked like a character from The Planet of the Apes, her show was canceled and removed from every streaming service. But chances are that if Roseanne had called a conservative an ape, the media would have left her alone.
Samantha Bee is a typical liberal comedian who thinks that the more vulgar you are, the funnier you are. Her grossly offensive comments are allowed by the media, but only if she’s targeting people who don’t adhere to the Democratic Party.
Bee’s most recent target was none other than First Daughter Ivanka Trump. On her show Full Frontal, Bee called Ivanka a “feckless c***” for not doing more to stop her father’s immigration policies.
But now it looks like the joke is on her, as multiple sponsors are now pulling out of supporting her show.
Auto Trader called Bee’s comments, “offensive and unacceptable” in a tweet issued the morning after Bee’s episode aired.

State Farm Insurance is also cutting ties with Bee, stating, “We have asked TBS to suspend our advertising in the program and are reviewing any future placements. We constantly review programs to ensure alignment to our programming guidelines and brand values.”
Bee did eventually tweet an apology, but only after her show started losing ad revenue.

Despite her admittance that her comments were “inexcusable”, Bee will likely still be allowed to keep her show, because liberals are hardly ever held accountable for the vile things they say.
If Democrats believe Roseanne got what she deserved, then they should be advocating for Bee to get the same treatment and have her career ruined.
In fact, if there were any consistency, Bee would receive an even worse punishment, because her actions were far more problematic than Roseanne’s.
Roseanne may have sent out an insensitive tweet, but Bee purposefully decided to broadcast her disgusting comments on national television, and that decision was approved by her show’s producers, writers, and executive staff, and was even applauded by her largely liberal audience.
This is overwhelming proof that there is an intense double standard in the entertainment industry.
