For years, Democrats accused Trump of colluding with Russia to “steal” the 2016 Election. Accusations, sparked by a false dossier, led to a 2+ year investigation by a special counsel. But that investigation–led by Democrats–did not uncover evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. That hasn’t stopped Democrat lawmakers continue to accuse Trump of being a Russian puppet.
But all the while the FBI and investigators probed Trump and his people, a top FBI official was actually colluding with Russia. Charles McGonigal was receiving money from a sanctioned Russian oligarch in exchange for services. The liberal media appears to have ignored this bombshell trial. But this week, the disgraced official had his day in court.

A former FBI official who played a key role in the “Russiagate” investigation into former President Donald Trump pled guilty on Tuesday to conspiracy to provide illegal services to a sanctioned Russian oligarch, according to a press release from the U.S. Southern District of New York Attorney’s Office.
Charles McGonigal, a former special agent and chief of counterintelligence plead guilty to “money laundering and conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.” These charges related to McGonigal taking money from Oleg Deripaska, in exchange for help from the FBI official.
McGonigal worked with federal investigators to investigate Donald Trump, his campaign, and his administration, on flimsy claims he colluded with Russia. Yet all the while, McGonigal was taking money from a sanctioned Russian oligarch and trying to help him gain ground in the United States.
It will be hard for Americans to trust claims against Donald Trump, thanks to this hypocrisy. The FBI was hounding a sitting president and seemingly ignored one of their one’s damning crimes.
Only now, McGonigal is facing the music for what he did. Yet, there seems to be little coverage by the mainstream media over this. We have not heard from Democrats who swore Trump was guilty of Russian collusion. From all appearances, the liberal establishment is trying to sweep this under the rug, to avoid embarrassment.
McGonigal will now face sentencing, which won’t be until December 14.
