Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis jumped on the news that the Biden administration might try to ban gas stoves. During a recent press conference, he showed two banners featuring stoves and classic patriotic slogans.
One said, “Don’t Tread on Florida.” The other, “Let Us Alone.” Both featured gas stoves, the latest bogeyman for the radical green left. DeSantis vowed that his administration would stand up to the left’s scheme.
He even pointed out how the sudden blowback to Democrats’ recent claims that gas stoves were a hazard shocked even them. DeSantis mentioned liberals had to “retreat from it.” But don’t be fooled. While Biden’s administration is now saying they aren’t trying to ban gas stoves, they will try to come up with a way to rob you of your choice in the matter.
Democrats, especially those in California, will soon come up with insane emissions rules that will make owning a gas stove too expensive for most people. They will hammer you with taxes, fees, and fines, until you give in.
But not in Florida. The governor’s response suggests he will fight the administration if they try to pull a fast one on Americans. He will not touch our gas stoves, just like he won’t touch our firearms, cars, and freedom.
