Big-Name RINO Is In Serious Trouble – Huge Change Could Wreck Romney’s Comeback

What’s Happening:

As you know, more than just the White House will be decided in the next election. The fate of Congress will be determined as well. Republicans will have to fight to hold onto the House and gain a majority in the Senate.

Standing in their way are Republicans who serve the interests of the liberal establishment, including Utah Sen. Mitt Romney.

Romney outraged Americans when he turned on the party’s president in 2021. Romney voted against Trump on several occasions, despite claiming to be loyal to the GOP. He earned a censure back home and now is facing a primary challenger. Old Mitt should be getting worried right about now, as his challenger is not going away.

From Fox News:

A top Republican in Utah has wasted no time fundraising as he explores the possibility of running for a seat in the U.S. Senate that’s currently held by GOP Sen. Mitt Romney.

Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson, who launched an exploratory committee in April to consider running for the seat in the Senate, told Fox News Digital he has raised more than $2.2 million…

“We’ve heard that what Utahns are interested in [and] want is they want to have a strong, conservative leader and a fighter back in D.C. to represent Utah.”

Okay, so top Republican Brad Wilson only launched an exploratory committee to run for the Senate. He hasn’t officially announced a campaign, just that he’s looking at the possibility. But even so, he’s managed to raise over $2.2 million against Romney–before launching his campaign.

Imagine what he might do once he actually begins to run!

Romney should be very nervous. He thought he had an advantage in Utah because he’s a Mormon. But that hasn’t saved him after he’s, time and again, turned on the Republican party. The folks in Utah don’t appreciate a man who seems to not share their beliefs.

Meanwhile, Brad Wilson is the Utah House Speaker, a well-known face back home. He possibly has strong support among Utah Republicans. Already he’s raised a large war chest for his campaign. It wouldn’t surprise us that, come the primaries next year, he’ll sweep Romney right out of power.

Key Takeaways:

  • Mitt Romney’s primary challenger has raised over $2.2 million.
  • Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson launched an exploratory committee back in April.
  • Romney was previously censured by Utah’s GOP, after turning on President Trump.
