Republicans Unveil Sweeping Plan to “Save America” – They Plan to Balance the Budget By Cutting Trillions in Both Spending and Taxes

America is seeing the worst inflation in 40 years, record-high gas prices, and general cost of living increases that are putting a massive strain on everyday citizens.

As a result, we might see a rapid shift in political power this year and beyond. Insiders and experts are predicting a significant “red wave” during the midterm elections, for example.

And building on that momentum, Republicans have unveiled a plan to “save America” — and millions of Conservatives are already applauding.

GOP members in the House of Representatives unveiled an alternate budget proposal for fiscal year 2023.

Instead of kowtowing to liberal causes and spending billions on issues that don’t help the country emerge from this borderline recession (as Republicans claim), the plan is focused on re-energizing a working country.

It’s called the “Blueprint to Save America” and it was penned by the Budget and Spending Task Force, which is part of the Republican Study Committee. This 122-page document is hugely ambitious:

It calls for gigantic cuts to spending and taxes, and claims that it would balance the budget in 10 years.

All told, the budget proposal would cut spending by a whopping $16.6 trillion in that decade span, and taxes would be slashed by nearly $4 trillion as well.

Here’s part of the letter written by members of the RSC (via The Daily Wire):

Since taking office, President Biden and his liberal allies in Congress have brought our county closer than ever to a full-scale debt crisis.

The so-called American Rescue Plan amounted to little more than a $2 trillion pay-off to liberal special interests, fueling inflation and crushing working-class Americans.

Even though our national debt now stands at $30.4 trillion, the radical liberals running the White House and in Congress continue to push their far-left Build Back Broke agenda, which would spend another $5 trillion. As is always the case, working-class Americans will foot the bill.

Republicans continued to slam the Biden administration for passing “the most expensive budget request in history,” keeping the federal deficit above $1 trillion for many years.

The GOP argues that this proves Democrats “have no plan to prevent the world’s largest economy from collapsing under the weight of its unsustainable and accelerating debt.”

Enter the “Blueprint to Save America,” which features a variety of tactics designed to ease the immense strain on our economy and its residents. There are numerous items that will likely appeal to Conservatives:

  • reinstate and build on former President Trump’s Executive Order requiring two regulations to be cut for every new regulation enacted.
  • unleash American energy production by forcing the Executive Branch to conduct oil and gas lease sales and expedite the permitting process.
  • authorize the Keystone XL pipeline and all necessary infrastructure.
  • opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and the Gulf of Mexico to new drilling.
  • overhaul the tax code.
  • reform entitlement programs to favor families and establishing work requirements with the goal of moving people off government assistance.
  • combating fraud in social safety net programs.
  • ban abortions after a heartbeat is detected.
  • creating a federal Parents’ Bill of Rights.
  • discouraging Critical Race Theory being taught in schools and prohibiting CRT to be taught in federal agencies, schools receiving federal funds, and the military.
  • protecting women’s rights in girls’ and women’s sports.
  • finish the border wall.
  • reforming Medicare and Social Security.

That’s just a sampling of what Republicans intend to do with this proposal, and it’s music to many ears in these difficult times.

Biden’s $5.8T budget proposal has received plenty of criticism since being released in March, and Republicans claim it will only cause the country to sink further into economic instability.

Right now, Democrats are facing potentially historic losses in the fall elections, and the President’s job performance numbers are scraping bottom.

It’s a good time to reveal an alternate plan for this country and the GOP is seizing the opportunity. The only question now is whether or not enough Americans agree with this fresh new direction.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Republicans revealed an alternative budget proposal, “The Blueprint to Save America.”
  • It cuts spending by $16.6T and taxes by $3.9T in a 10-year span, and the GOP claims it would also balance the budget.
  • Republicans have ripped Biden’s proposal, saying it’s “little more than a $2 trillion payoff to liberal special interests.”
