Everything that’s happening in our country today could have major repercussions a year from now.
And so, Republicans are not wasting a single minute.
The 2022 midterms could determine the balance of power in D.C. Republicans are in a good position to take the House and win back a majority in the Senate.
Not only would that freeze Biden in his tracks, but it would give Republicans a chance to set their own agenda.
But a 2022 red wave isn’t guaranteed. The country needs to understand just how badly Biden is governing.
So, Republicans are focusing on one major issue hurting all Americans: inflation.
Gas prices have whizzed past $3 per gallon in much of the nation. The cost of used cars and new furniture, airline tickets, department store blouses, ground beef and a Chipotle burrito are on the rise, too…
Republicans are hoping to storm into next year’s midterm elections arguing that steep government spending under President Joe Biden and a Democratic-controlled Congress has triggered inflation that will ultimately hurt everyday Americans.
Democrats claim the fallout fueled by the 2020 crisis is contributing to the rising costs of everything.
That might be true on a limited scope. But Biden made the issue much worse by pumping trillions of new dollars into the economy.
That lowered the value of the dollar—and made it harder for Americans to afford products.
We didn’t see inflation rise this high during the actual crisis of 2020. Only after Biden made some terrible moves (like banning drilling on federal land) did we see prices skyrocket for gas and other goods.
Republicans know this and are taking advantage of it. They are going to the people with a very simple message: the pain you’re feeling right now is because of the Democrats.
Just as we’re coming out of the crisis, Democrats want to hit the country with massive spending, more regulation, and heavier taxes.
It’s a move that is shutting down businesses and contributing to problems across the board.
Americans are only getting more and more fed up with the situation. And Republicans will be able to score many new supporters—who just want to stop the bleeding.
Has that convinced Democrats to stop pushing these massive spending bills? Of course not.
- Republicans are pointing to inflation to boost their 2022 chances.
- Democrats’ spending has contributed to rising prices—hurting all Americans.
- Voters might want a change, after experiencing Biden’s weak economy.
