Progressive Arrested After Threatening to “Gut” Elon Musk Online

The unhinged meltdown continues. It’s been a rough few months for the radical left. Their worst nightmare came true when Donald Trump reclaimed the White House.

Now they’re lashing out at anyone associated with the administration. The hatred is palpable. The threats are escalating. And law enforcement is finally taking notice.

Unhinged Threats from the Left

An Indiana Antifa militant has been arrested after making violent death threats against Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur who now heads Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

David Allen June Cherry, 28, of Clarksville, Indiana was charged with intimidation, a level five felony, after posting multiple violent threats directed at Musk on the social media platform X.

From ‘The Post Millennial’:

“I am going to plant a bomb in Elon Musk’s house,” one post read.

The threats went far beyond this single statement. Cherry allegedly posted that he would “gut” Musk and “parade your corpse through the streets.”

Another post declared, “We’re gunning you down, next Muskrat,” which came just days after the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

When authorities tracked Cherry down at his workplace, a Batteries Plus store, he claimed he was just trying to be “edgy” and get reactions online. That excuse fell flat when police executed a search warrant at his residence.

Investigators confiscated a handgun, an AR-15-style rifle, ammunition, and a ballistic vest from Cherry’s home. Apparently, his “edgy” online persona was backed by an arsenal ready for action.

Antifa Connections Run Deep

Cherry wasn’t just a random internet troll. He operated an online business called Red Pawn Dynamics that specialized in anti-government merchandise.

His product line included patches with slogans like “Local Politician Hunting Club” and “Hamas Air Cavalry” – the latter referencing the terrorist group’s October 7 attack on Israel.

One particularly disturbing patch showed what appeared to be Elon Musk with a gun sight icon over his head.

This wasn’t just tasteless merchandise. It was part of a broader pattern of leftist violence and intimidation tactics.

Cherry’s social media presence was filled with anti-government rhetoric and threats against conservative figures.

The Indiana State Police were tipped off by Texas authorities after X’s internal monitoring systems flagged Cherry’s threatening posts. The investigation quickly revealed his identity and location.

The Left Circles the Wagons

Instead of condemning these violent threats, left-wing groups quickly rallied to Cherry’s defense. A GoFundMe campaign has already raised over $4,100 for his legal fees.

The fundraiser description is particularly revealing. It describes Cherry as a “hard-working family man” who was arrested on “bogus allegations” – completely ignoring the documented threats and weapons cache.

One Antifa group’s post stated: “This arrest demonstrates the current administration’s approach to dissent: which is to silence and sow fear.”

Apparently, threatening to bomb someone’s house is now considered legitimate “dissent.”

Cherry’s attorney, Bart Betteau, is attempting to frame the case around the First Amendment.

“Political speech has kind of the highest place in our constitutional hierarchy of what’s allowed,” he argued, suggesting that threatening to murder a government official is protected speech.

Free Speech Has Limits

The prosecution isn’t buying this defense. Harrison County Prosecutor Otto Schalk made the distinction clear: “You have no greater right to possess surface-to-air missiles under the Second Amendment than you do to make true threats under the First.”

This case highlights the left’s blatant double standard. The same people who demand conservatives be banned from social media for “harmful speech” are now defending explicit death threats as protected expression.

Musk himself has acknowledged the danger. During a recent Cabinet meeting about his work cutting government waste through DOGE, he stated: “I’m taking a lot of flak and getting a lot of death threats, by the way. I can like, stack them up. But if we don’t do this, America will go bankrupt.”

Cherry faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted. His trial is set for August 2025, where a jury will decide whether his “edgy” posts crossed the line into criminal threats.

The message is clear: the era of consequence-free intimidation against Trump allies is over. The administration is committed to protecting its officials while they work to make America great again.

Key Takeaways:

  • Leftists defend death threats against Elon Musk as “protected speech” while censoring conservative voices.
  • Armed Antifa militant’s arrest proves violent left-wing threats aren’t just “online talk.”
  • Trump’s administration is holding violent extremists accountable after years of leftist impunity.
