Hours After Fiery Final Presidential Debate – The Experts Weigh in with Their 1 Big Winner

The Republican Party hosted its fourth, and likely final, presidential debate. The field has narrowed down considerably since the start of the primaries.

Four politicians took the stage. The night was rife with conflict, attacks, and insults by the people who wanted to become the next president.

Much was said, and now experts are giving their opinions. Who was the bigger winner? How will this impact the race? It all depends on who you ask.

From Fox News:
Opinions were naturally split between entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley after they repeatedly clashed in heated exchanges throughout the debate, which was held on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

There appears to be no general consensus on who won the debate. Pundits were split between the four candidates. Some claim DeSantis has won the last two debates. While other viewers strongly backed Ramaswamy after the night’s performance.

Some columnists believe Chris Christie, a longshot candidate at this point, to have won the night. Others have rallied behind Nikki Haley, who appears to be enjoying a bit of momentum in recent weeks.

Of course, others say this debate only underscores one inescapable fact, that Donald Trump continues to dominate the primaries. Despite not attending any of the debates, Trump leads all the candidates by a wide margin.

Very few polls show Trump in even remote trouble. He continues to enjoy support from many Republican voters. Some even seem to believe these debates are a waste of time, given Trump’s dominance.

The former president has called on the GOP to cancel these debates and use its money on defeating Joe Biden. Voters might feel the same. Donations to the party are at critically low levels. This could be the result of many Republican voters already backing Trump, refusing to give money to a party that refuses to get behind him.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Republican Party hosted its fourth debate, with only four candidates.
  • Pundits were split on who was the winner, backing the candidates they preferred.
  • Donald Trump did not attend the debate but enjoys a large lead over the others.
