As a staunch Protestant, I can never understand why people put so much stock in what the Pope says.
But loyal Catholics of the world still seem to take his words seriously. However, Pope Francis hasn’t been the model leader many of the faithful hoped he would be.
You know it’s problematic when radical liberal blogs call the pope “cool.” Thanks to Francis’ frequent focus on what could only be called social justice causes, he’s poised to be the most-liberal pope in history.
Now you can add another left-wing value to add to his list. Recently Pope Francis (or one of his subjects) tweeted out a brilliant solution to the world’s violence problem. Just ban all the weapons!
Of course! Why didn’t we think of that before? If we have no weapons, nobody will be able to hurt anyone else. Sounds simple, right?
But like every other liberal solution, this one is painfully over simplistic and idiotic. It’s shocking to see the pope tweet such a saccharine idea. Thankfully our POTUS has other ideas.

Meanwhile, America’s pope, Donald Trump is doing the opposite – he’s going to speak at the next NRA meeting to own the libs.
President Trump is expected to speak at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual meeting this week, CNN reported Sunday…
Trump has delivered remarks at each of the past two annual meetings for the gun rights group.
Is that all the pope good for these days? Posting nonsensical messages to social media? Shouldn’t the leader of the largest Christian denomination in the world be more concerned with spiritual matters? Was he appointed to posted social commentary? Aren’t billions of Catholics relying on his guidance for the afterlife?
Like so many other religious figures, Pope Francis is more concerned with his career in this life. Not the next. Instead of focusing on the spiritual well-being of his followers, the pope wants to weigh in on gun violence.
The tweet is so stupidly phrased. It’s the perfect bait for soft-brained liberals. Compare that to Trump’s support of the NRA. The National Rifle Association cares about equipping citizens so they can protect themselves. Trump’s embrace of firearms will empower millions of Americans to stand against crime, terrorism, and tyranny.
Which leader’s views is going to led to more peace, not war? Let’s see what happens to the first country that gets rid of all their weapons. They’ll be invaded so fast, it’ll make Francis’ head spin.
But at least he got all those tasty retweets.
