Pentagon Reports Major China Concern – By 2030, They Will Hit a Very Concerning Number

What’s Happening:

With so much attention being put on other conflicts around the world, some might forget about the growing menace that is China. The largest communist nation in the world has long threatened neighboring states in Asia.

Most recently, it has vowed to invade Taiwan, an independent country, and annex it. The United States under Joe Biden has appeared to waver in its support for Taiwan.

But it doesn’t appear as if China has any plans of stopping its agenda. And now, the Pentagon has just announced something that will have many nations worried.

From MSN:
China has developed an arsenal of more than 500 operational nuclear warheads and is set to double that number by the end of the decade, exceeding previous Pentagon estimates, according to a Defense Department report…

“They’re expanding and investing in their land, sea and air base nuclear delivery platforms, as well as the infrastructure that’s required to support this major expansion of their nuclear forces,” the official said.

The Pentagon revealed that communist China has over 500 operational nuclear weapons. And, according to the Department of Defense, it is set to double that number by 2030. This comes as worries increase over China’s plans to attack Taiwan.

Many experts have raised warnings about China’s threat to global stability. For example, many still say the country should be taken to task for its role in the COVID-19 pandemic. And China’s many factories continue to put a strain on the international supply chain, as it limits the production of many goods.

In addition to this, China is frequently criticized by human rights organizations for the treatment of its minority groups. And reports reveal Chinese-owned companies are responsible for the child labor conditions of cobalt mines in the Congo.

These are only a few of the issues currently arising from the one-party country.

China has frequently threatened Taiwan in recent years, and some critics believe this is due to Biden’s failures in Afghanistan and Ukraine. The war in Israel might only embolden China to move. With so many resources going to defend the Middle East, China might be posed to strike soon.

And it might not be afraid to use its nuclear weapons.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Pentagon revealed China has over 500 nuclear missiles.
  • It is set to double that number by 2030.
  • This comes as China threatens to invade and annex Taiwan.
