Speaker Nancy Pelosi Plans To Turn The House Of Representatives Into Her Own “Factory For Democrat Priorities”

The House just passed the Democrat-driven H.R.1 proposal, which includes sweeping reform on a variety of big topics: gun control, amnesty, minimum wage, and more.

Some Republicans have already said they’ll stand against it when it reaches the Senate floor, and it remains in doubt whether or not the bill will pass. Some GOP members say Democrats won’t have the votes.

However, there might be a bigger issue at play here.

Right-wing politicos have come down hard on H.R.1, calling it a radical agenda that pushes a bevy of far-left items and other hugely progressive policies.

This even includes “federal micromanagement of the election process,” which would theoretically strip states of the ability to enforce voter ID law, for example.

But behind all this is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has hinted at a deeper, more far-reaching plan.

This plan is definitely going to get plenty of attention and criticism, especially if the following Politico quote is accurate:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) this week previewed her intention to ‘turn her chamber the next two weeks into a factory for Democratic priorities.’

To many, that sounds just plain sinister, or at the very least, largely authoritarian and very un-Democratic.

Perhaps this is why the proposal includes so many highly questionable far-left agenda items — Pelosi believes the House can just churn these out uncontested; i.e., a “factory” for Democrat laws.

Conservatives and Republicans remind Americans what’s included in the bill:

  • Forces all states to allow all convicted felons to vote.
  • Prevents states from limiting early voting.
  • Requires all states to provide free mail-in absentee ballots.
  • Criminalizes political speech that the government deems “discouraging” to voters who are statistically more likely to vote Democrat.
  • Takes redistricting away from elected leaders to give to left-leaning commissions.

Prior to Democrats gaining control of the Senate and the presidency, it seemed highly unlikely that any of these massively controversial demand would ever pass.

But now that Democrats hold sway throughout D.C., it’s obvious they intend to capitalize.

According to the Politico report and Pelosi’s own words, this means allowing the House to simply push even the most radical issues forward. And without much resistance from Republicans.

This is precisely the sort of thing many citizens have worried about since the elections were over.

Now it appears they may have had good cause to worry.

Key Takeaways:

  • Speaker Nancy Pelosi apparently intends to use the House to push through a variety of radical far-left ideas.
  • She reportedly said she wants to “turn her chamber into a factory for Democratic priorities.”
  • The H.R.1 bill the House just passed is evidence that the Democrat-controlled government will attempt to pass even the most controversial bills.
