Joe Biden doesn’t have too many qualms about stretching the truth. But sometimes, it really comes back to bite him. It happened years ago during his first presidential run. His plagiarism cost him the nomination.
Since then, he apparently hasn’t learned his lesson.
Recently, Biden claimed his first job office can from a lumber company in Idaho. I guess he was trying to make a connection between himself and those angry locals.
But, as it turns out, according to the company this was a giant fib.
From NY Post:
President Biden said at a wildfire-focused event in Idaho Monday that his “first job offer” came from the local lumber and wood products business Boise Cascade, but the company says it has “no record” of that being true…
But Boise Cascade spokeswoman Lisa Tschampl told The Post, “We have no record of President Biden’s application or of him having worked for the company. “
Biden claimed that he not only interviewed with an Idaho lumber company but that they offered him a job. He even went as far as to say he considered moving to Idaho in order to take the job.
The problem? The company told the NY Post that they have no record of Biden’s application, nor did he ever work for the company.
Now, could a man have interviewed with a company and received an offer, but not to have sent them an application? That’s not only unlikely but impossible.
This couldn’t be yet another mental lapse for the aging president. Because he claims he frequently spoke about this with a now-passed senate colleague from Idaho.
The only thing we can conclude is that he made this all up.
Why on earth would a “president” make up a story like this? What does he have to gain by claiming he almost, kind of sort, was thinking about, working for a lumber company?
Yet Biden seems addicted to making stuff up. He doesn’t seem to understand there are things called records and facts. Biden just assumes we’ll believe him, as he stumbles along to another lie.
Eventually, he’s going to make a fib that really sinks him.
- Joe Biden claimed he was offered his first job at a lumber company in Idaho.
- The company claims Biden never applied for a job, nor worked there.
- Biden went on to say he often talked about this to a former colleague.
