Joe Biden has somehow been in office since the 1970s. That really is a miracle, when you consider just how bad a public speaker he is.
Long before he was Obama’s right hand man, or the left’s puppet, he was being called out for false statements during his 1980s presidential campaign.
Worse still, he is often exposed for blatantly copying famous lines from other speakers. Even the media admitted that before he became President, but now they handle him with kid gloves.
And guess what? It looks like he may have just done again—and he’s stealing credit too.
Here’s what he said, from IJR:
“I said, among with others, we’d follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell if need be. That’s exactly what we did, and we got him. It took us close to 10 years to put President [Barack] Obama’s commitment into form. And that’s exactly what happened. Osama bin Laden was gone…”
Yes, Biden said he was one “among others” who had used the phrase. However, as Stephen L. Miller pointed out in a tweet, these were words most famously uttered by former Arizona Sen. John McCain during the 2008 Republican primaries.
During a recent speech, Joe Biden seems to have stolen the phrase “follow bin Laden to the gates of hell.”
He even claimed he was one of a few others that used the phrase.
Except, it was Republican Sen. John McCain who famously said that during the 2008 primaries. McCain was a strong advocate for hunting down bin Laden and bringing justice to his followers.
What was Joe Biden doing around that same time? Well, a few years later, he told President Obama not to take him out when he had the chance.
So, the man who was against a famous operation that saved the world is now claiming he would go to the “gates of hell”?
Does this guy think we’re that stupid? Or is it just him?
Biden’s trend to lift phrases goes back a long ways. Many called him out for it during the 2020 campaign, when he literally took the exact words from UK’s Prime Minister: “Build Back Better.”
Then there were the speeches in the 80s he stole from various figures.
He doesn’t even take from obscure sources that people wouldn’t recognize. He takes these lines from speeches many would remember—or can easily fact-check.
Biden does know we can look stuff up, right?
- Joe Biden was caught apparently stealing a line from John McCain.
- Biden went on to claim that he was one of many who said it back in 2008.
- The Democrat is known for taking famous lines from others and using them in his speeches.
