What’s Happening:
Only a few days ago, newly-installed senator from Pennsylvania, John Fetterman, was rushed to the hospital. He reported feeling “lightheaded” and was quickly admitted. This man suffered a life-threatening stroke less than a year ago–and needs closed captioning to understand human speech.
Democrats have dismissed any concerns about the man’s health, especially after he was released and returned to work. But not a week passed before more news came out on this man’s health.
From CNN:
Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center “to receive treatment for clinical depression,” his chief of staff announced on Thursday.
Depression? Really? This man has not gotten over the effects of a serious stroke. He was just in the hospital over “lightheadedness” and is now back in the hospital, at Walter Reed no less. And we’re supposed to believe it’s because of depression?
The media was quick to run with this excuse, even going so far as to praise the man for his actions.
From AP News:
“This is a moment for us to tear down the stigma of depression and anxiety,” said Kennedy, who retired in 2010 and has become a leading voice on mental illness. “Sen. Fetterman may do more for people just by admitting that he’s getting help for depression than any bill he ends up sponsoring.”
I’m not buying this story, nor should you. Fetterman’s office claims a man suffering serious consequences from a stroke is in the hospital over “depression.” Yet news has just come out that reveals this is much more serious than the left is letting on.
From MSNBC:
A close senior aide said Fetterman would likely remain in inpatient care for clinical depression for “a few weeks,” adding that doctors are trying different medications and require time to identify the correct dosage.
Um… what? Depression is a serious condition and in no way should anyone make light of it. But there is a variety of ways doctors can treat this condition that doesn’t require staying in a hospital “for a few weeks.”
Is Fetterman really being treated for depression, or is that a convenient lie to cover up what is really going on? The man can’t even understand human speech. Yet we’re supposed to believe he is being treated for depression?
Regardless of the real reason he is in the hospital, let’s face the facts. Fetterman needs to be under close observation and care of doctors at a highly-respected medical facility. That’s pretty serious. This isn’t the kind of depression that can be treated with medication and a few visits to a psychiatrist.
Fetterman is very sick, we know that. Who knows how long he will stay at the hospital? Considering this comes just after he was released from the hospital should have everyone worried. This man is clearly not fit to lead in the Senate. When will Democrats admit this?
When will they demand he step down and a more rightful person take his seat?
Key Takeaways:
- John Fetterman is back in the hospital; his office says it is to treat depression.
- The liberal media is praising his decision, as it “raises awareness” of mental illness.
- Fetterman will be in the hospital for a few weeks, casting doubt on his fitness to serve.
