November was a rough month for the liberals over at MSNBC. Heading into Election Day, they were telling their loyal leftwing viewers that there was likely no way that Kamala Harris could lose to Donald Trump.
Unfortunately for them, however, that’s exactly what happened. Indeed, Harris lost both the Electoral College and the popular vote to Trump.
This completely destroyed MSNBC’s credibility. How could viewers trust their reporting anymore when they had been so wrong about this election?
That’s why it should come as no surprise that ratings have since plummeted at MSNBC. Despite last week being a busy news week that included various major stories, ratings at MSNBC were still down.
From Fox News:
Alex Wagner Tonight, Inside with Jen Psaki and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell all hit rock bottom last week despite a busy news cycle that included the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and the ensuing manhunt for his killer, a slew of news related to Trump’s Cabinet picks, the fallout from President Biden announcing he would pardon his son, Hunter, and Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad being ousted from power.Alex Wagner Tonight, which airs during Rachel Maddow’s 9 p.m. ET time slot on Tuesday through Friday because The Rachel Maddow Show only airs on Mondays, averaged only 595,000 total viewers during the week of December 2 for its lowest-rated week since the show’s 2022 debut.
Meanwhile, Inside with Jen Psaki averaged only 651,000 total viewers. This is the smallest weekly audience the show has had since it launched last year after Psaki left her role as Joe Biden’s press secretary.
As for The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, its ratings hit an all-time low among the crucial age demographic of 25-54. This is seen as the most coveted age group among the all-important advertisers. Sadly for O’Donnell, his show averaged only a measly 61,000 demo viewers last week. This was its smallest audience in the 25-54 age demo since the MSNBC show launched back in 2010.
Ouch, that has got to hurt!
Maddow Also Hemorrhaging Viewers
Then there’s The Rachel Maddow Show. Since Election Day, her ridiculous program has lost 43% of its total viewers. Since Trump’s win, she’s only been averaging 1.4 million total viewers.
Things get even worse for Maddow when looking at the 25-54 demo. Since the election she’s lost a whopping 56% of this audience since the election. These days, in this critical category, Maddow only averages 103,000 viewers.
Ah, it’s nice to see MSNBC’s biased reporting finally come back to bite them!
They’ve spent years obsessively attacking Trump with their biased and oftentimes false reporting. Meanwhile, they ignored Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline until his abysmal June debate performance made it impossible for them to continue to do so. MSNBC’s liberal hosts then spent months falsely portraying Kamala Harris as a candidate so viable that there is no way that she can lose to Trump.
No wonder MSNBC is hemorrhaging viewers. Indeed, they’ve shown their own leftwing former fans that nothing they say can be trusted anymore.
Perhaps if MSNBC had just been a little less biased, they wouldn’t be in their current predicament. They’ve made their beds, and now they’re going to have to lay in them.
Key Takeaways:
- MSNBC ratings have plummeted since Election Day.
- Alex Wagner, Jen Psaki, Rachel Maddow, and more have lost ratings.
- Viewers can no longer trust MSNBC.
