MSM Responds to Trump Shooting by Yanking Its Most Incendiary Commentators

By now, you know all about the horrific event from last Saturday. A gunman nearly assassinated the 45thPresident of the United States. Just the turn of the head saved Trump from a killer’s bullet. The fallout from this unbelievable moment will be felt for the rest of the year… and beyond.

Many people are demanding answers over the shocking attempt on Trump’s life. Republicans are already calling for investigations.

Others are pointing fingers at one group they believe is partly responsible: the media. For nearly 9 years, the mainstream media has portrayed Trump as some kind of dictator. Some Americans will say the media’s rhetoric is what inspired this killer. And the media seems to think so as well. Because MSNBC decided to pull a top program. You won’t believe why.

From CNN:
MSNBC will not air “Morning Joe,” its celebrated politics roundtable program, on Monday, opting to instead air continued breaking news coverage of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump…

A person familiar with the matter told CNN that the decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole. Given the breaking news nature of the story, the person said, it made more sense to continue airing rolling breaking news coverage in the fraught political moment.

Oh, is it that the media is finally coming to terms with its irresponsible rhetoric? “Morning Joe” was pulled by MSNBC the Monday following the Trump assassination attempt. Sources explained that the network feared someone on the show saying something that would get all of them in trouble.

Why would they fear that? Aren’t journalists the most responsible and reliable people on the planet? Or is MSNBC admitting that Joe and Mika—or one of their idiotic guests—would say something horrible, in light of Trump almost being killed?

Other networks have not been as careful. HBO let far-left liberal Bill Maher go on the air as usual. And immediately, Maher proved MSNBC was smart to keep their pundits off the air. Because what Maher said about the assassination attempt is everything you need to know about the self-involved, uncaring left.

From Breitbart:
Please stop and spare a thought for those on the political left. Bill Maher has affirmed he was appalled by the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump but qualified it by adding others have been metaphorically hurt as well…

Whoever did this, the shooter has done so much damage to the Left.

[The Left] has lost a lot moral high ground in the ‘you’re the violent people’ and the ‘liberals don’t shoot people, liberals don’t solve it that way.’

Uh… are you kidding me? Bill Maher took the time to denounce the shooting. Then he complained, not that Donald Trump was put in danger, but that this shooter “had done so much damage to the Left.” Really, Bill? That’s all you care about, how this makes a political party look bad?

Trump’s family almost had to prepare a funeral. Another family is preparing a funeral. Yet the only thing Maher is concerned with is how this event will make people like liberals less.

I guess the media still hasn’t grown up.

Key Takeaways:

  • MSNBC pulled “Morning Joe” out of fear of what the hosts would say about Donald Trump.
  • Sources indicate that the network worried that what would be said could make them look bad, in light of the attempt on Trump’s life.
  • The media has been blamed for inciting hate and violence against Trump and conservatives.
  • Soon after the attempted assassination, Bill Maher lamented it did “so much damage to the Left.”
