Days After Military Suffers Devastating Blow – Biden State Department Does the Unthinkable

Just a few days ago, Iranian-backed terrorists struck a U.S. base in Northern Jordan. The drone attack killed 3 American servicemembers and injured another 25. Hostilities in the Middle East have exploded ever since Hamas attacked Israel.

President Biden has increased U.S. military presence in the region, stoking fears of all-out war with Iran. Iran proxies have relentlessly attacked American ships and bases in recent weeks.

Tensions are at an all-time high, with Biden’s short-sided policies potentially making things much worse. And now, Biden’s State Department just made an announcement that could set off this powder keg.

From Axios:
Secretary of State Tony Blinken asked the State Department to conduct a review and present policy options on possible U.S. and international recognition of a Palestinian state after the war in Gaza, two U.S. officials briefed on the issue told Axios…

For decades, U.S. policy has been to oppose the recognition of Palestine as a state both bilaterally and in UN institutions and to stress Palestinian statehood should only be achieved through direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

In what could be seen as an insult to our ally Israel, Biden’s Secretary of State is floating the idea of supporting a Palestinian state. For years, the United States has refused to recognize Palestine as a nation. That is because they supported negotiations between Israel and Palestinians.

However, Israel has never been able to make a deal with Palestinians. This is often due to Palestinians refusing to accept a deal that recognizes Israel as a nation. Many Palestinians share Hamas’s sentiment, that Israel needs to be wiped off the map.

Even as Israel fights to defeat Hamas and free hundreds of hostages, Biden is considering rewarding the enemy with statehood. This would be a major slap to the face to Israel, especially if Blinken does this without input from the Jewish nation.

President Biden has made some terrible international moves before. But this could be the one that seals his presidency. Biden allowed Afghanistan to fall to the Taliban. He “greenlit” Russia to invade Ukraine. He has done little to hold back China, a communist regime bent on invading Taiwan.

Now, he might ignore Israel’s sovereignty to award its mortal enemies with statehood.

It is possible Biden is willing to do this, out of fear of anti-Israel progressives. Many Democrats have turned on Joe, over his support of Israel’s war with Hamas. He might want to grant Palestine statehood, in a fumbled attempt at winning back the far left. But he risks not only losing many other voters but the safety of Israel in the process.

Key Takeaways:

  • Biden’s State Department is considering supporting a Palestinian state.
  • This contradicts decades of U.S. policy, which demanded a deal between Israel and Palestinians.
  • Biden has been heavily criticized for his fumbled, short-sided, and poor foreign policy decisions.
