What’s Happening:
Americans woke up to learn that eighteen Senate Republicans turned on the party to support the left.
These Republicans, following Mitch McConnell, voted to advance Biden’s infrastructure bill.
The real problem? They voted on a bill that hasn’t even been written yet!
There is no telling what Democrats will try to sneak into this package. Yet McConnell let it happen anyway.
So, Donald Trump is blasting his major mistake.
From IJR:
Former President Donald Trump claims Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is a “weak” leader as the Senate is moving ahead with a bipartisan infrastructure package…
“Under the weak leadership of Mitch McConnell, Senate Republicans continue to lose… No deal is better than a bad deal. Fight for America, not for special interests and Radical Democrats. RINOs are ruining America, right alongside Communist Democrats.,” he continued.
Trump blasted McConnell for supporting the left’s infrastructure package. We know Democrats want to do more than just spend money on roads.
Their idea of “infrastructure” includes radical social programs, including foundational pieces of the Green New Deal.
Supporting this deal, without even knowing what’s in it, is a big loss for Republicans. Especially considering 2022 is around the corner.
Trump called McConnell weak for helping the Democrats get what they want. He previously advised Republicans to wait until 2022, so they could come up with a better deal for America.
If Republicans retake Congress next year, they can craft a deal that is absent of Democrats’ toxic plans.
Yet McConnell, for some reason, is quick to cower to the left.
Hey, Democrats refused to negotiate with Republicans during Trump’s era. Why should Republicans so quickly bow to their demands?
Trump called on Senate Republicans to fight for America, not special interest groups.
But it seems McConnell cares more about lobbyists than everyday Americans.
Do you think Republicans should try to block this infrastructure bill?
Key Takeaways:
- Trump criticized Mitch McConnell for supporting the left’s infrastructure deal.
