Republican Leader Kinzinger Turns On Trump – He Just Demanded Pence Use The Constitution Against Donald

What’s Happening:

In the aftermath of the events from yesterday, it appears some Republicans are turning on President Trump.

Yes, we always knew the swamp ran deep. And some Republicans who posed as MAGA people were just waiting to show their true colors.

Now that it’s clear Trump will be leaving office, some of these snakes are rearing their ugly heads.

They appear to be joining with the Democrats’ ridiculous demand to remove Trump just days before his term ends.

And that includes one House member. From The Hill:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on Thursday became the first GOP lawmaker to call for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office…

“Here’s the truth. The president caused this. The president is unfit and the president is unwell. And the president now must relinquish control of the executive branch voluntarily or involuntarily,” Kinzinger, a centrist Republican and frequent Trump critic, said in a video message posted on Twitter.

Seems pretty meaningless to demand an out-going president to be removed under the 25th doesn’t it?

Unless, of course, you’re a swamp dweller who wants to score brownie points with the establishment in D.C.

Soon after the events of January 6, Republican lawmakers were quick to blame Trump. The president himself called on supporters to peacefully go home.

But I guess that wasn’t good enough for “conservatives” who were eager to distance themselves from the president.

So much for loyalty, huh?

The 25th Amendment, as we know, only works when a president and vice president both agree he is no longer fit to stay in office (due to medical issues). It does not apply to this situation.

Anyone calling for it now is doing so for political points or to get media attention.

Sad that a Republican is doing it, huh? It makes it seem Kinzinger is only in this for attention and power.

Key Takeaways:

  • One Republican in the House is calling for Trump to be removed under the 25th.
  • Kinzinger blamed Trump for the events on Wednesday, saying he is “unwell.”
  • It appears he is doing it to score support from the establishment in D.C., as Trump exits.
