Kevin Sorbo Calls Out Kamala Harris for ID Requirements to Get into Her Rallies

The Harris campaign is trying to move heaven and earth to secure the 2024 Election. She was not the party’s pick for the general election. She usurped the nomination, without a public process, after Biden was forced out.

Harris and Walz are now trying to gaslight Americans that these runner-ups are right for the country. Despite their terrible track records and radical agenda.

But there was a little moment of hypocrisy that underscored how wrong they are for the country.

Harris, in particular, has strongly opposed basic measures to secure our elections. She has railed against one common-sense measure as “racist.” Yet, at a recent event, she proved that she has no problem with this step unless it is used to prevent voter fraud. And one beloved actor decided to point out Kammy’s double standard.

From Washington Examiner:
Attendees were required to show an ID last week at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), in order to gain admission into the event…

“Voter ID is racist, but you can’t get into a Kamala rally without ID,” actor Kevin Sorbo wrote to his more than 2 million followers.

“You need photo ID to get into an invite-only Kamala Harris event, but not to vote?” columnist Ian Haworth added.

In a twist that has left many shaking their heads, Kamala found herself at the center of a brewing controversy last week in Phoenix, Arizona. The issue? A rally for Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, where attendees were required to show a government-issued photo ID to gain entry—a move that stands in stark contrast to Harris’s long-standing opposition to voter ID laws.

The Rally That Sparked Outrage

The event, held at the Desert Diamond Arena, was supposed to be a straightforward campaign stop. However, the Harris campaign’s decision to enforce an ID requirement has drawn intense scrutiny, especially from conservative circles. According to the campaign’s email announcement, attendees would be allowed into the rally between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., but only if they presented a valid photo ID at the door.

This decision has raised eyebrows for one glaring reason: Kamala Harris has been a vocal critic of voter ID laws, arguing that such requirements disproportionately affect minorities and are rooted in racism and sexism. Back in 2020, she cited historical examples of these laws’ negative impacts, making her current stance on rally admissions seem like a significant contradiction.

Kevin Sorbo Calls Out the Hypocrisy

Enter Kevin Sorbo, the outspoken actor and conservative commentator, who didn’t waste any time pointing out the irony. Sorbo, known for his unapologetic takes on political issues, took to social media to highlight what he sees as Harris’s monumental hypocrisy. “Voter ID is racist, but you can’t get into a Kamala rally without ID,” Sorbo wrote to his more than 2 million followers, capturing the frustration and disbelief shared by many.

Sorbo’s critique has sparked a wave of responses from both supporters and detractors, igniting a broader discussion about the double standards in politics. The controversy has also drawn comments from other prominent conservatives, like columnist Ian Haworth, who tweeted, “You need photo ID to get into an invite-only Kamala Harris event, but not to vote?”

A Double Standard?

The inconsistency between Harris’s stance on voter ID laws and her campaign’s ID policy at rallies is hard to ignore. While it’s not uncommon for political events to require identification for security reasons, the optics of this situation are particularly problematic given Harris’s previous statements.

Critics argue that this is yet another example of political elites imposing rules on ordinary Americans that they themselves don’t follow. If requiring ID to attend a rally is reasonable, why isn’t it reasonable to require ID to vote? It’s a question that Harris and her campaign have yet to adequately address.

Key Takeaways:

  • Kamala Harris’s rally in Phoenix required attendees to show a government-issued photo ID, sparking accusations of hypocrisy.
  • Actor Kevin Sorbo publicly called out Harris for opposing voter ID laws while requiring ID for her event.
  • Democrats oppose voter ID laws, despite requiring ID in nearly every other situation.
