President Joe Biden granted federal employees a raise as inflationary pressures and labor shortages pinch the bureaucracy.
According to an executive order that will take effect on January 1, federal employees will receive an overall pay raise of 4.1%, as well as an average locality-based pay raise of 0.5%, indicating that some 2.1 million federal employees will receive average raises of 4.6%…
The federal government spent approximately $215 billion in the fiscal year 2016 compensating federal civilian employees, according to a report from the Congressional Budget Office.
Oh, how lovely. As most Americans watch their pocketbooks shrink, the folks who slow down government agencies will be getting a nice, hefty pay raise. These are the people who audit you, who make your life a living hell. Federal workers enjoy safety from getting fired (thanks to their powerful unions) and do shockingly little to keep their jobs.
They gum up progress with endless paperwork, red tape, and meaningless regulations. They are the ones that hamper private business with stealth taxes. The same people who enforced lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates.
These are the people getting raises, while you struggle to figure out how to pay your electricity bill.
Does Joe Biden hate America? This pay raise will end up costing you big time. Some of these federal workers will be pulling down six figures, off of your dime. Meanwhile, Biden smugly ignores ongoing inflation and predictions of a painful recession. What has he done to encourage job growth, low the cost of living for working Americans, or ensure companies hire Americans?
