Over this week, Democrats have been televising hearings from their J6 “commission.” The primetime edition brought in only 19 million viewers, a colossal flop.
We’re can’t be sure what Democrats are trying to do with these hearings. But we know for a fact not much will come out of them, as their own members admit they don’t have anything on Donald Trump.
Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), chair of the January 6 Committee, said Monday evening there would be no criminal referrals of former President Donald Trump or anyone else to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Surprisingly the only person to disagree was “Republican” Liz Cheney (who might soon lose her job).
We suspected this all along. If there was ample evidence against Trump, why stage this “show trial” at all?
Shouldn’t it have been handed over to the DOJ?
But soon after this news came out, Trump had a few words of his own.
From The Hill:
Former President Trump on Monday issued a 12-page rebuttal to testimony and evidence presented by a House committee investigating the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, accusing Democrats of seeking to distract from a series of domestic issues facing the country…
“They are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, without even making mention of the havoc and death caused by the Radical Left just months earlier. Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this disaster. They are hoping that these hearings will somehow alter their failing prospects.”
A member of Pelosi’s J6 “commission” admitted that they will not be referring criminal charges against Trump. That strongly suggests that they have little evidence to connect him to what happened at the Capitol.
Liz Cheney disagreed, but only said they had not “issued a conclusion.” That comes off as a way of saying, but not saying, they have nothing.
Trump has since released a 12-page rebuttal to remarks made during the televised hearings.
While Trump is a strong personality who never shies away from comments, he has historically ignored these attacks from the left.
He did not issue such a statement in light of the left’s first impeachment against him.
But now, he is seemingly going to war, calling out the left’s current agenda against him. The main thrust of his comments, though, was to highlight what he believes they are doing.
The nation is struggling with rampant inflation, high gas prices, an uncontrolled border, and many other problems.
Trump is accusing Democrats of trying to distract from these many issues, as we hurtle toward the midterms.
Their overused scapegoat? Donald Trump. But what does Trump’s possible involvement in J6 have to do with what Biden and his party did over the last year?
Will Americans really forget about their current problems, over these “show trial” hearings?
- One member of Pelosi’s J6 commission admitted no charges will be recommended for Trump.
- Trump released a 12-page response to recent testimony from the show trial.
- The 45th president accused Democrats of trying to distract from current national problems.
