Earth-Shaking Israel Move Announced by GOP – And Big-Government Liberals Are Furious

What’s Happening:

With a new House Speaker selected, Congress can finally continue doing its work. Republicans have expressed their intentions of moving forward with plans to help Israel.

But they do not intend to support Biden’s massive demand for billions to Ukraine or Gaza. Their latest package will provide around $14 billion to the nation of Israel.

This money will help provide resources as Israel continues its war against Hamas. But Republicans have no intentions of raising taxes on the American public. Instead, they will take this money from the country’s most hated federal agency.

From Daily Wire:
House Republicans introduced an aid package on Monday that would remove millions of dollars allocated to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and direct the same amount of money to Israel…

The new proposal would provide $14.3 billion to Israel while rescinding the same amount of funds made available to the IRS to back the U.S. ally as it fights Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

New House Speaker Mike Johnson revealed that Republicans do not intend to “print money and send it overseas.” Which is what President Biden has apparently been doing for the last three years.

Instead, House Republicans plan to take money Biden allotted for the IRS and use those funds to provide aid to Israel. Biden secured $80 billion for the IRS through his wrongly named Inflation Reduction Act.

That money was going to help the tax collecting agency hire tens of thousands of new agents. Republicans managed to cut $21 billion from that package through a debt ceiling deal last June. Now, they intend to take an additional $14.3 billion from the IRS.

Speaker Johnson said there is a “more immediate need” to help Israel and protect innocent lives, than providing the IRS with more funds. The IRS has been under fire by Republican investigators for what they call the “weaponization” of its power.

The IRS was blasted for making unannounced home visits to intimidate and threaten American citizens. Other critics raised the alarm after the agency spent millions on weapons and tactical gear.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Republicans revealed a plan to take money from the IRS to support Israel.
  • This comes as Israel wages war with terror group Hamas.
  • Speaker Johnson claimed Israel was a “more immediate need” than the tax collecting agency.
