“It seems that Donald Trump has the edge right now, despite all of his legal woes and the fact that, y’know, he’s on trial and Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen,” Couric said when asked about the state of the race. “He seems to be, surprisingly, gaining momentum, not losing it.”

“… Well, I think that the debates coming in June is an acknowledgment that Joe Biden and his campaign know that they’re losing, that there’s this feeling that they need to shake up the race.”

Katie Couric admitted that the criminal trials against Trump have not hurt his election chances. In fact, she said that he is “gaining momentum” at this point in the election. Her interview admitted that Biden is agreeing to debates because his campaign knows “that they’re losing.”

This was the last thing Democrats thought was going to happen. Which seems to prove that they launched these criminal trials with the intent of stopping Trump’s return to office. Many speculated that Democrats were trying to keep Trump off the campaign trail, draining away his resources, while tarnishing his reputation among voters.

Instead, Americans seem to believe that Democrats are conducting “lawfare” against Trump. And that these trials are not legitimate. Even if Trump is convicted, polling suggests Biden will still be losing thanks to his failures in office.

Democrats like Couric don’t want to admit this. But all the signs seem to be pointing to that. Trump might be more popular today among Americans than he was when first elected in 2016. Biden’s many failures and fumbles only seem to highlight Trump’s strengths.
