Republicans Make Major Trump Announcement – They Just Proved 1 Thing to Voters

Primary voting will soon begin. In a matter of weeks, Americans will decide who they want running in the general election.

It is no secret that Trump is dominating in the polls. But there are plenty of Republican leaders, including some in Washington, who are backing other candidates.

Now, the entire leadership of House Republicans has issued statements on candidate Trump. This might not be something people were expecting.

From The Post Millennial:
All House Republicans in leadership positions have officially endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2024, paving the way for Trump’s chance to win the GOP primary and become the official Republican presidential candidate as he continues to dominate all competition in the polls.

The entire GOP leadership in the House endorsed Donald Trump for president. In a statement posted to X, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer called on Republicans to unite behind Trump.

He followed House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, who wholeheartedly endorsed Donald Trump just a day earlier. Back in November of last year, House Speaker Mike Johnson made it no mystery who he was backing in the election.

Johnson said he was “all in” on a second Trump White House. And House Republican Conference Chair, Rep. Elise Stefanik, endorsed Trump before the rest of the leadership.

All these Republicans are calling on the rest of the party to unite behind Trump. The sooner Republicans get on board with his campaign, the sooner they can build momentum against Joe Biden.

Despite his lagging polls, the Democrat Party is officially behind’s re-election campaign. His party has been throwing resources behind him for months, to combat low approval, scandals involving his son, and a possible impeachment.

It would serve the GOP well if they openly backed Trump. GOP donations have been down over recent months, while Trump’s coffers continue to be filled. Republican voters may be refusing to put money into a party that is hosting debates with other candidates.

Key Takeaways:

  • All House Republican leadership have come out endorsing Donald Trump.
  • House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and others are calling for the GOP to unite behind the former president.
  • This comes as the Republican Party continues to host debates for low-polling candidates.
