Georgia GOP Unveils Powerful New Illegals Bill – It Will Punish Cops Who Don’t Do 1 Thing

The border crisis has created more than a problem with unbearable numbers of illegal immigrants flooding into the country. Within that surge of people is hidden a sinister reality that has killed Americans.

The was exposed with the recent high-profile murder of a Georgia college student allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrants wanted for other crimes. This is just one example of crimes inflicted on U.S. citizens.

Liberal federal and local lawmakers praise the flood of illegals into the country while American families suffer. Even local law enforcement officials are helping illegals walk free in the country, creating more danger for citizens.

That aspect of the problem just got slammed by Georgia state lawmakers who plan to punish law enforcement officers who fail to stop illegals from committing more crimes. Cops will have to abide by a new law or face punishment themselves.

From the Daily Caller:
Republicans in the Georgia House of Representatives are preparing to advance legislation that will punish jailers and sheriffs who don’t cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The legislation, which passed out of the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee Tuesday, requires state and local law enforcement agencies and other government employees to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, the Journal-Constitution reported. The bill’s text says sheriffs and jailers who do not contact ICE or the Department of Homeland Security could face penalties, including loss of funding or even criminal charges.

The provisions are part of HB 1105. The new legislation follows the murder of nursing student Laken Riley, 22, at the University of Georgia. Her alleged killer is Jose Antonio Ibarra, an immigrant from Venezuela who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. He has been charged with murder.

Americans are sick and tired of this type of repeated scenario where illegal immigrants commit some heinous act of violence against Americans after being jailed. Liberal local law enforcement officers don’t cooperate with federal officers to detain these people in jail and instead set them free in defiance of federal operations. Illegals walk out of jail and Americans suffer.

The Georgia legislation also contains elements similar to SB4 in Texas. This bill was signed into law by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas and allows state and local law enforcement officers to arrest illegal immigrants.

Republican Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia slammed the Biden administration over Riley’s death. He said the murder proved “every state is a border state” during a Sunday morning Fox News appearance.

There have been more than 6.6 million encounters with illegal immigrants since the start of fiscal year 2021, according to the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This includes more than 2.2 million in fiscal year 2022.

This law follows what Americans want which is a stop to the border crisis and protection from criminals pouring into the country under Biden’s insane direction. The bill won’t stop all the problems but is a leading example of what state lawmakers can do to help protect Americans from Biden’s border policies.
