If you listen to the legacy media, you’d believe Donald Trump was the worst president ever.
They think they have one over him, after he announced he’d be leaving by January 20. But Trump’s accomplishments speak for themselves.
And the polls we are seeing do not jive well with what the MSM claims. Unlike some previous presidents (even Republicans), Trump has done quite a bit in just four years.
And it seems Americans are approving him more than the last conservative in the White House. From The Federalist:
President Donald Trump is leaving office with a higher approval rating and the Republican Party on better footing than after President George W. Bush exited the office in 2009, when the younger Bush saw historically low ratings…
According to RealClearPolitics’ aggregate of polls, Trump is moving out of the White House with a nearly 40 percent approval rating overall. Bush enjoyed just under 30 percent of Americans on his side at this same point in his presidency.
According to a sampling of approval polls, including some that have Trump’s numbers lower than usual, he is still beating George W. Bush when he left office.
It appears that Trump is outpacing Bush’s approval, by a factor of ten to twenty percent.
It is easy to see why. At the close of the Bush administration, even conservatives were not happy with his impact.
Many were resentful of the War in Iraq and blamed Bush for the economic downturn. Obama was just elected and many thought he could turn the country around.
This year, Trump earned 75,000,000 votes, more than any previous incumbent. Despite the left calling the election for Joe Biden before Election Night was over, many are concerned Biden will be able to have the positive impact Trump has.
Trump possibly secured more accomplishments than even Reagan did in his time in office. He made good on countless promises and even helped get America through an unprecedented pandemic.
While the liberal media and Democrats blame Trump for a dust-up in the Capitol, it seems few Americans are willing to get off the Trump train.
What does that mean for the future? Nobody knows for certain if Trump can or will run again. But it’s safe to say the movement that propelled him into office will continue to grow strong, no matter what.
The same could not be said of Bush, all those years ago.
- Approval polls reveal Trump has higher marks than Bush when he left office.
- This, as Democrats blame Trump for what happened on January 20.
- Polls show Trump has over 10 to 20% higher approval than the previous GOP president.
