Fetterman Just Made 1 Hysterical Claim – It’s So Ironic, Even Democrats Are Laughing

What’s Happening:

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman has been frequently criticized since before he was elected. Many have wondered about his physical condition, after suffering a stroke last year. Americans were outraged when the Senate went as far as to lower the dress code, seemingly in favor of Fetterman, who attended meetings in sweatpants and hoodies.

The Democrat recently appeared on Stephen Colbert’s late-night show. Colbert, formerly an entertainer, has used his show as a platform for advancing progressive politics. It’s no surprise that he gave airtime to Fetterman, who spent weeks in the hospital for supposed depression.

Fetterman used the time to attack his fellow colleagues in the Senate. He criticized the recent threat of a government shutdown. And then, he said something that will have critics rolling.

From Fox News:
“You all need to know that America is not sending their best and brightest to Washington, D.C.,” Fetterman responded, to laughter from the audience. “Sometimes you literally just can’t believe. These people are making the decisions that are determining the government here. It’s actually scary.”

Fetterman, who is best known for his inability to communicate, claimed that American voters are not “sending their best and brightest” to Congress. Fetterman has been heavily criticized for his bizarre and disturbing debate performance last year.

The Democrat was forced to spend most of his first few months as a senator in the hospital. Doctors refused to give full details about his condition and his staff rarely provided updates from the man himself. Americans grew concerned when his wife fled the country with their children during that time, instead of staying by his side.

Fetterman had to use a tablet computer for months because he was unable to understand human speech. He most commonly wears hoodies and athletic clothes instead of professional dress attire–even during his appearance on Colbert.

Claiming his political rivals aren’t the “best and brightest” will be met with heavy irony by Fetterman’s critics. Many have feared the man has not recovered from his stroke and frequently clips showing him struggling to speak or interact have confirmed it.

Fetterman has yet to distinguish himself as a senator. He has not spearheaded legislation nor scored major victories for his supporters. Calling other members of Congress, who have served for years, not the “best and brightest” is off the mark.

During the show, Fetterman mocked the Senate dress code, which was restored after Americans expressed outrage.

Key Takeaways:

  • John Fetterman claimed Americans were not sending the “best and brightest” to Congress.
  • Fetterman has been long criticized for inability to communicate or understand others.
  • The Democrat has refused to dress appropriately for work and missed weeks early in the year.
