Thanks to President Trump, the American economy is looking good. I mean, looking really good. Companies are bursting with job opportunities. There’s never been a better time to be an able-bodied American looking for work.
Record after record has been broken by this administration. Under Trump, the GOP has helped companies succeed in unexpected ways. That means businesses are hiring and Americans can get off the government teat.
But can you believe there are still states who want people dependent on Welfare? These democratically-run regions want their citizens broke and on government handouts. Trump has said enough is enough. His latest executive order will make sure everyone who can work, does.

The executive order, signed Tuesday afternoon, lays out principles to encourage economic mobility through work — a tactic that we’ve seen succeed in states across the nation. It calls for a strengthened work requirement for able-bodied adults, building off the requirement established in the 1996 bipartisan welfare reform that requires able-bodied adults on food stamps to work, train or volunteer for at least 20 hours per week.
Despite evidence that work requirements work — cutting time spent on welfare in half, doubling incomes and moving adults into over 600 diverse industries — the Obama administration approved waivers for those requirements in most states, citing high unemployment and severe job shortages.
What happened when states no longer required able-bodied adults to work to receive benefits? Predictably, the number of able-bodied adults on food stamps skyrocketed, more than tripling since 2000, while the cost to taxpayers went up fivefold.
Even though unemployment has since rebounded to near-record lows and more than 6 million jobs are open nationwide, these Obama-era waivers are still in place and many states continue to operate expanded welfare rolls under them.
Obama enter office during the “economic downturn.” He used that as an excuse to expand government handouts. What happened? Our deficit doubled–a terrible record for a president to set.
Even when things started to improve, he kept those waivers in place. That’s because the democrats don’t want Americans independent of the government. They want us shackled to big government like slaves.
With over 6 million job openings across the country, there is no reason for so many people to be on Welfare. The facts prove that work requirements dramatically improve conditions for people. People find good-paying jobs and no longer need the bare minimum Welfare checks provide. That reduces the burden on taxpayers. A win-win if you ask me.
So why are some states unwilling to restore work requirements? Like Obama, they want Americans in poverty. A weak, poor, and miserable population is easy to manipulate. That’s the only way democrats stay in power.
But a country full of hard-working, successful Americans? They might have something to say about an out-of-control government. Democrats can’t have that!
President Trump’s order will begin to fix the broken Welfare system. Work requirements will empower Americans to find prosperity. Period.
