After Drag Queen Shows Up at Prom – The School Principal Gets a Quick Punishment

Radical liberal ideology pushed beyond acceptable boundaries in this latest incident of attempt to influence young people. Leftists have gained the sympathies and support of school officials and are working together in their attempts to erode American culture.

One of the greatest rites of passage for American teenagers is the high school prom. This is a traditional, festive event where young people get to celebrate together. Most schools take measures to ensure it is a night of fun undergirded with the safety of the teens in mind.

The problem is when leftist-sympathizing school officials get involved and secretly work to ruin an evening that should create positive lifelong memories. A high school in liberal-leaning New Mexico showcased an offensive form of entertainment and forever changed prom memories for its students.

From Blaze Media:
School officials are in hot water after parents found out about a drag queen performance at a high school prom in New Mexico.

Channell Segura, Chief of Albuquerque Public Schools, admitted to parents that the drag queen performed at the Atrisco Heritage Academy on April 20.

Parents were outraged at the performance and demanded that the officials who approved the performance be fired.

“My daughter hasn’t been exposed to things like this. She was traumatized by it to the point that she left prom early. We have to fill out permission slips for these kids to do anything, why weren’t we notified of this?” said another parent to KOAT-TV.

Liberal school officials thought it would be a good idea to have the drag queen, whose stage name is Mythica Sahreen, dancing provocatively while students stand around in a circle. The sick scene was exposed in a viral social media video.

Some students who attended the prom told the TV station that the performance crossed a line and made them uncomfortable. Parents called for the firings and want such events to stop.

“It was just very inappropriate for the kids to see that. I think that’s something that belongs in a club — in a nightclub. That’s not something for children to see,” said Valentin Trujillo, a parent of two students at the school.

Dylan Payan, the real person behind the drag queen name, told media that he worked for years with the Gay-Straight Alliance and that the performance had been approved “through proper channels.” He said he was not paid for the performance.

School officials said they were still investigating who had approved the dance of the drag queen. The school district said in a letter to parents five days after the event that principal Irene Cisneros had been replaced by Anthony Lovato. Numerous other school officials were placed on administrative leave.

After the public exposure, the drag queen complained about death threats to him and his employer. Parents may have more issues with the school after local media revealed Payan had been previously arrested for several charges, including false imprisonment in 2023, but that those charges had been dropped.

Concerned parents rightfully were concerned that the school kept secret any advance notice of the performance. It is also interesting that a New York Times report on the situation excluded any mention of the past arrest of the performer.

Key Takeaways:

  • Parents were outraged after discovering that a drag queen performed at the local prom.
  • The New Mexico high school principal and other officials were placed on leave.
  • Parents were outraged by the performance and demanded that all involved be fired.
