It’s been one month since Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the presidential election. Despite the left’s best efforts, Trump trounced Harris in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
In the weeks since then, Trump has been busily putting together his administration. He’s assembled an impressive group of people who he feels will assist him in his quest to make America great again.
Now, Trump has named one of his defense attorneys in the New York hush money case to a major role in his administration. Indeed, he is rewarding the “unwavering loyalty” of lawyer Alina Habba, 40.
From Truth Social:
I am pleased to announce that Alina Habba will join my White House Team as Counselor to the President. Alina has been a tireless advocate for Justice, a fierce Defender of the Rule of Law, and an invaluable Advisor to my Campaign and Transition Team. She has been unwavering in her loyalty, and unmatched in her resolve – standing with me through numerous “trials,” battles, and countless days in Court. Few understand the Weaponization of the “Injustice” System better than Alina, who has fought relentlessly against the full force of Lawfare with courage and an unshakable commitment to Justice.
As a first generation American of Middle Eastern Heritage, she has become a role model for women in Law and Politics, most recently being named Chaldean Woman of the Year. Congratulations to Alina, her husband Gregg, and her three beautiful children, Chloe, Luke, and Parker.
During Trump’s first presidency, this position was held by his former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway.
In the weeks since the election, Habba has been seen spending time with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. She was also spotted on the campaign trail with Trump many times over the past few months. At the end of October, Habba was one of the speakers at Trump’s rally in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
“Honor of my life to serve the 45th and 47th President of the American people,” Habba said in response to her new White House job.
Trump Announces More Appointees
As he announced Habba’s new role, Trump also revealed that he is nominating Christopher Landau to serve as Deputy Secretary of State. Landau will be working alongside Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio.
“Chris served as my Ambassador to Mexico, where he worked tirelessly with our team to reduce illegal migration to the lowest levels in History,” Trump said. “He is also one of our Country’s great lawyers and clerked for both Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas on the United States Supreme Court.”
In addition, Trump announced that Michael Needham will serve as the counselor of the Department of State. He’s previously served with Rubio for many years.
Finally, Trump confirmed that Michael Anton will serve as the director of policy planning in the State Department.
“Michael served me loyally and effectively at the National Security Council in my First Term. He has an extensive background in Government, the private sector, and academia,” Trump wrote. “He spent the last eight years explaining what an America First foreign policy truly means.”
Trump is certainly putting together quite a team for his next presidency! We can’t wait to see how Habba and all these other appointees do in their respective roles. Let’s get to work and make America great again!
