After Democrats Hatch Disturbing New Plot – GOP in Red States Race to Stop It

Recently, a ballot measure in Ohio was passed that enshrined abortion access in the state’s constitution.

Critics are saying the measure was passed because pro-abortion Democrats used misleading language to mislead voters.

Republicans are now warning Americans that similar ballot measures are popping up across red states. And now, attorneys general are fighting back.

From Fox News:
Attorney generals in red states are making moves to address ambiguities and euphemisms in upcoming abortion measures in their states to avoid deceptive language…

In Arkansas, Attorney General Tim Griffin recently rejected a proposed abortion ballot that he said had a deceptive title and misleading text.

In Florida, Republican AG Ashley Moody recently called a pro-abortion amendment initiative that made it to her desk “one of the worst I have ever seen.”

Red state attorneys general are sounding the alarm on attempts by pro-abortion Democrats to legalize abortion through ballot measures: they’re accusing these ballot measures of having “deceptive” language that might trick voters into passing them.

In South Dakota, Democrats pushing one proposal suggested it was only legalizing abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. But in response, AG Jackley revealed that was “contrary to the language of the proposed amendment.”

Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail to force abortion rights onto red states ever since the death of Roe v. Wade. President Biden has played a role as well, trying to get the so-called abortion drug shipped to states that have outlawed the practice.

The success of the Ohio ballot measure appears to have inspired Democrats in other states to force similar measures. But many attorneys general are rejecting these measures before they can reach the voting public.

Key Takeaways:

  • Pro-abortion Democrats are pushing ballot measures to legalize abortion in red states.
  • Republican AGs are accusing Democrats of using deceptive language in these proposals.
  • Red state leaders claim Democrats are trying to mislead voters, to legalize abortion.
