House Democrats voted Tuesday to protect Hunter Biden from a probe of the alleged influence-peddling schemes revealed by his abandoned laptop.
The House Oversight Committee voted along straight party lines to kill a “resolution of inquiry” proposal by Rep. James Comer (R-KY). The proposal followed a steady drip of text messages and emails from the laptop that appear to implicate President Joe Biden’s son as well as one of his brothers, and even raise questions about what Biden himself knew about potential corruption.
How pathetic. Evidence suggests that Hunter Biden and his father were up to no good.
Anyone with a shred of integrity would demand an investigation–to make sure Hunter’s dealings aren’t influencing the White House.
But this is the D.C. swamp we’re talking about–a land with zero integrity. House Democrats voted down a probe into Hunter Biden’s possible crimes.
Why? Because they know it would only hurt their 2022 midterm chances.
If Congress exposed Hunter and Joe Biden’s activities, people would ask, “Why did Democrats let them get away with all this?”
More questions would be raised–hurting Democrats’ chances of winning elections this November.
So, it seems, Democrats are shutting down a critical investigation, all to save their skin.
And they call Republicans deplorable!
This is nothing new. Democrats in D.C. have long pulled strings to protect their buddies.
From Clinton to Obama to Biden, the left will move heaven and earth to hide what’s in their dirty closets.
But we are reaching a point when they can’t hide Hunter’s sins for much longer. Joe’s too.
