What’s Happening:
There’s no denying that Biden has failed on the border. He thought he could get away with letting the border rage out of control. But the last year has shown that even Democrats can’t ignore the border crisis. Illegals are ending up on blue city’s front door steps. So, Biden has scrambled to come up with a way to make it look like he’s dealing with the border, while still letting in as many illegals as he can.
Ironically, some of the solutions his administration has come up with sound awfully like Trump-era rules. Democrats flipped out when Biden suggested making migrants apply for asylum in the first country they entered. But they really lost it when the administration considered resuming family detentions. And one Democrat gave Joe a brutal nickname.
From Twitter:
EARLIER: The Biden administration is reportedly considering restarting family detention for migrants. #MTP
@SenatorMenendez (D-N.J.): “If the administration does go down this path, I am afraid that the president will become the Asylum Denier-in-Chief.”

Ouch, that’s harsh. The reality is, too many illegals are flooding the border. Either Joe deports them, denying entry, or he has to put them somewhere. Biden ended Trump’s policy of detaining families, releasing them into the country without any way of tracking them.
But that clearly isn’t working. And Republicans will keep busing migrants to blue cities until something is done. So, it looks like the administration wants to quietly resume detaining families at the border. Sounds reasonable to me, as long as they deport them soon afterward.
Democrats don’t feel the same way. In fact, Sen. Menendez blasted Biden for considering this, calling him “Asylum Denier-in-Chief.”
Oh, give me a break, Bob. Just because a family crosses the border doesn’t mean they are entitled to asylum. Millions of migrants are demanding asylum in America. But they are not fleeing war. They are merely economic refugees who want to milk America’s welfare system.
It seems Sen. Menendez wants more outsiders to enter the country, taking welfare and jobs from struggling Americans. Isn’t this guy supposed to be looking out for New Jersey residents? Why is he so upset that Biden wants to detain families, instead of just releasing them?
As far as nicknames go, Bob could have done better. How about “Freedom Denier-in-Chief”? Or, “Criminal-In-Charge”? I like, “Too Senile to Lead President.” Bob should fire his staff writer and find someone better.
Still burned Joe, though.
Key Takeaways:
- Biden might resume detaining illegal immigrant families at the border.
- Democrat Sen. Menendez slammed Joe, calling him “Asylum Denier-in-Chief.”
- Biden is being forced to deal with the border crisis, while progressives want to leave the border open.
