Major Democrat Just Found Guilty – She’s Going Down for 1 Major Crime Against Taxpayers

Since 2020, we’ve learned about numerous groups and individuals who cheated the federal government. These people scammed the Paycheck Protection Program, which was created to save jobs during the COVID lockdowns.

Government reports claim that most of the fraud has not yet been accounted for. Criminals stole billions of dollars meant to help working Americans.

But at least one more crook has been brought to justice. A former police officer and attorney out of Georgia was caught doing the unthinkable during COVID. And now, this one-time Democrat candidate is facing justice.

From The Post Millennial:
Shelitha Robertson, an attorney and former Atlanta police officer who once ran for office as a Democrat to become a superior court judge, was found guilty by a federal jury in Georgia on Tuesday of fraudulently obtaining over $7 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans.

In what will be a shocking revelation to many, a former police officer and attorney fraudulently took $7 million from the U.S. government during the COVID pandemic.

The funds came out of the Paycheck Protection Program, a program created to help businesses keep their workers employed. As states shut down, this money was supposed to ensure millions of Americans were put out on the streets.

Yet Robertson took $7 million of this money. According to prosecutors, she spent it on a Rolls-Royce, motorcycle, and even a $148,000 10-carat diamond ring. It appears she gained numerous loans through her multiple companies, despite being the only one employed.

Robertson did not appear repentant, despite being charged. She blamed her friend and attorney, Chandra Norton, for the false applications. Yet it was not Norton who spent all the money, was it?

A jury found Robertson guilty of three counts of wire fraud and one single of money laundering and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

She is awaiting sentencing, which will come next April.

Key Takeaways:

  • A former police officer and Democrat candidate was found guilty of stealing $7 million from the government.
  • The Georgia woman acquired the funds through false applications to the PPP.
  • She allegedly used the money to buy luxury items, including a diamond ring.
