Ted Cruz Goes After Liberal Holy Grail – He Just Introduced Bill To Block Taxpayer Dollars From Funding CRT

It’s arguably the most controversial topic in America today: Critical Race Theory. Democrat leaders and leftists continue to push it as an “enlightened” ideology that citizens should embrace.

On the other hand, Republicans and many Conservative citizens simply see it as flat-out racist, and a dangerous tool that will further divide the country.

That’s why Sen. Ted Cruz is making a very strong move against CRT.

Currently, Democrats want to push Critical Race Theory training on employers, and they’re also trying to install it in schools as well. This has led to significant backlash from politicos and state leaders.

As another downside, leftist politicians want federal funding to help spread CRT.

This means taxpayers would be on the hook for a highly questionable ideology, and that just doesn’t sit well with the GOP. That goes double for Cruz, who has railed against CRT from the beginning.

Now he may have a solution: and right-wing residents will likely support it.

Via Breitbart:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Thursday introduced a bill that would block federal funding for Critical Race Theory training.

The measure, dubbed the END CRT Act, would block federal funds from going toward funding to teach Critical Race Theory in workplace training.

Cruz called Critical Race Theory “inherently bigoted” and he isn’t the only one.

Many people say it’s just another example of fighting discrimination with a discriminatory practice — the exact definition of hypocrisy.

Sen. Cruz didn’t mince words in his statement upon introducing the bill:

The federal government has no right to force a political agenda onto Americans, especially one that aims to tear down our institutions and divide us based on race.

He added that CRT is a “Marxist ideology that sees the world as a battle, not between the classes – as classical Marxism does – but between the races.

That’s really the primary complaint of CRT critics: that it will do nothing to heal and unify, but will only serve to polarize the nation even more, and create more tension and lead to more violence.

Cruz also ripped President Joe Biden for erasing the Trump administration order that ensured “no government funding goes to anti-American or racist and sexist training.

Obviously, with that rule out of the way, they could feasibly use taxpayer dollars to fund something like CRT.

But Cruz is fighting it, and so is Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), who introduced the companion bill last month. At the time, Owens stated:

I grew up attending segregated schools in the Jim Crow South during a time when people were treated differently based on the color of their skin.

This is the United States of America, and no one should ever be subjected to the discrimination that our laws so clearly prohibit.

Owens said Critical Race Theory “undermines civil rights” and stands firmly against it.

Now, Cruz and Owens have teamed up to legally battle CRT, and make it so hardworking Americans won’t pay to spread this potentially harmful ideology in the workplace.

And a great many citizens, who pull for true equality, hope they succeed.

Key Takeaways:

  • Sen. Ted Cruz introduced a bill that would stop federal funding for Critical Race Theory.
  • Cruz called it a radical Marxist ideology “that aims to tear down our institutions and divide us based on race.”
  • Last month, Rep. Burgess Owens offered the companion bill, and said that CRT “undermines civil rights.”
