Inflation, a border crisis, and a new war in Europe can’t make citizens forget about the ongoing threat, especially against the U.S.

And sometimes, that threat can target high-ranking American officials.

While it’s difficult to verify foreign threats against leaders, lawmakers, and politicians, it’s important to keep monitoring the situation.

This goes double when we’re talking about those involved in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF).

It seems our government now has reliable evidence that two members of this dangerous group are plotting to take out a former Trump official.

If these reports are accurate, it’s something that should be of immediate concern.

At least two Iranians in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF), an elite Iranian military group that is also a designated terrorist organization, have allegedly been plotting to assassinate former Trump national security adviser John Bolton, according to a new report.

The report adds that the Department of Justice has “indictable evidence against the Iranians” in this case.

However, it doesn’t seem like Biden’s team is ready to move on this. The DOJ said the seriousness of the threat warrants action, but nothing is happening.

According to the Washington Examiner, Biden officials are “resisting publicly indicting the men” for one big reason:

It would derail their agenda involving a nuclear deal with Iran.

In other words, they don’t want to rock the boat too much because it could hinder their potential nuclear negotiations with Iran – another U.S. enemy.

Even so, DOJ officials are saying the threats absolutely can’t be ignored.

They’re reporting “significant … reconnaissance activity” in the possible plot, and similar threats have been made against former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

In fact, authorities say the danger to Bolton and Pompeo is “continuing, specific, and highly credible.”

At the same time, Biden’s team claims it’s “false” to claim that any decisions concerning this issue hinge on the Iran deal.

But that doesn’t stop people from guessing, and many on Capitol Hill still wonder why Biden’s staff isn’t doing more.
